Director of Internal Audit

A company is looking for a Director of Internal Audit to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the audit function. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement a multi-year, risk-based internal audit plan in collaboration with the VP and business leaders Oversee the execution of the annual audit plan, ensuring timely and budget-compliant completion of all projects Manage and mentor the internal audit team, focusing on talent development and performance evaluations Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Technology, Insurance, or a related field; Master's degree or MBA preferred Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required; other relevant certifications are a plus 10+ years of experience in auditing, accounting, or business analysis 5+ years in a leadership role managing audit teams Extensive experience within the insurance or financial services industry preferred
