To assure team continuity across all warehouse operations, this position may also be required to learn, perform, and or be certified to assist within other areas of Warehouse Operations including material control, traffic, or others as assigned.\n\nThe role works collaboratively with key business partners to ensure timeliness of execution, appropriate safeguards to protect during transit, and or other. Interacting with Customer Service, Purchasing, Planning, Operations and Material Control to identify and meet business requirements.\nDuties\nTimely picking of required material using forklift and / or other material handling equipment\nVerification of items picked for accuracy and condition\nLoad and unload trucks as required\nPackaging, palletization, and labeling for shipment including dangerous goods, international, and carrier paperwork and or labels – Certifications provided when needed\nPerform physical and ERP goods movements\nProcess stock transfers and material requests\nReplenish production areas and other areas as assigned\nFollow all provided control procedures and policies to complete tasks\nMaintain and engage in promotion of a safe work environment\nEnsures material movement is shipped, received, and stored according to Company and Federal standards. If material is not in conformance, rejects part and complete NCR.\nOther Job Duties as Required\nEducation Degree\nHigh School Diploma or GED\nRequired Experience\nPrevious forklift experience (counterbalance, stock picker, reach truck) preferred, if none, ability to become certified required\n1-2-year related disciplines experience required\nGeneral proficiencies in Microsoft Office\nPreferred Experience\nOne to two years shipping and receiving or warehouse experience preferred\nKnowledge of ERP/WMS preferred\n\nSTERIS is a leading global provider of products and services that support patient care with an emphasis on infection prevention.
