This person will train and mentor all meat associates and know all aspects of the meat department. This person will also determine production and inventory levels for the meat department.\n\nESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nFollows established departmental and store policies and procedures\n\nEnsures the quality and freshness of all products and services the meat department provides\n\nResponsible for maintaining the appropriate product assortment and inventory levels for the meat department\n\nConfirms pricing accuracy and signage for all products, paying particular attention to ad items\n\nEnsures the meat department is cleaned and sanitized daily and meets the company standards for appearance\n\nDelivers excellent customer service to all customers\n\nOrdering product and creating production sheets to meet the needs of the meat department based on past and projected sales\n\nCompletes assigned tasks efficiently and in a timely manner\n\nIs knowledgeable about all cuts of beef, pork, chicken, turkey, seafood, etc. and is able to cut all meats\n\nGrinds fresh hamburger and sausage\n\nSets a professional and positive example to others\n\nCommunicates openly and frequently with Store Director and Director of Fresh Meat\n\nEnsures company standards for safety, sanitation, and productivity are maintained\n\nWriting the meat department schedule to ensure coverage and meet labor goals\n\nTeaches, mentor, and educates associates to help them be successful members of the team\n\nProvides honest, direct and constant feedback to associates regarding their performance and areas of improvement; assesses associate performance and influences promotion, discipline, etc.\n\nPromptly addresses and resolves associates’ concerns and/or grievances\n\nQuarterly inventory of all meat department products\n\nMARGINIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES\nPerforms other job-related duties as assigned.\n\nNATURE OF WORK CONTACTS\n\nConsistent and daily interaction with store associates\n\nConsistent and daily interaction with customers\n\nTRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
