{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"f5f6028c92eafbaaf67f08c8","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/f5f6028c92eafbaaf67f08c8","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/f5f6028c92eafbaaf67f08c8","title":"DevOps Engineer","description":"Location: Denver, CO, or Remote\nJob Length: 6Months +\nDuties and Responsibilities\nAs a member of the Enterprise DevOps Team, the DevOps Engineer is expected to work with Dev, QA and Production Operations to serve as a technical SME responsible for the IT Operations Platform as a Service offering.\nDesign, build and execute against client's Platform as a Service (PaaS) offerings\nIngrate and help define requirements for client's’s Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) offerings\nAutomate infrastructure and platform service offerings\nCreate the design, implementation, and ongoing management of systems that deliver against strict requirements for functionality, scalability, performance, and reliability.\nServe as a top-tier technical escalation point for critical pre-production issues and drives escalation/resolution of problems into Development, QA, and Operations teams.\nCollaborate with development to design in-house monitoring tools/software for managing the SCM and Development Operations environments.\nAdopt, customize and implement industry standard DevOps policies and DevOps procedures.\nProvide Sr. Management with metrics and other reporting materials for the executive team.\nWork closely with strategic planning groups to provide future technologies direction that fits executive vision.\nDevelop and define process and procedure to proactively manage all pre-production and production environments.\nWork with multiple in-house external Software Configuration Management (SCM) teams enterprise-wide to assist in new architectural needs and optimize existing environments to improve workflow and productivity.\n\nQualifications\nTechnology related bachelor's degree preferred.\n5 years of senior level server administration experience in a large-scale production environment.\nStrong understanding of development workflow and process.\nStrong understanding of quality assurance methodologies, workflow, and process.\nDeep understanding of centralized (n-tier) and decentralized (client/server) environment models.\nDeep understanding of database management, database server clustering and database instance management.\nExtensive experience using virtualization technologies to enhance velocity of pre-production lifecycle environment.\nProven ability to conceptualize and implement a new architecture/infrastructure based off a BRD (Business Requirements Document).\nExperience with deployment configuration and automation.\nExpertise in building scalable, high performance systems that support entire pre-production lifecycle.\nAbility to rapidly assess, analyze, and resolve complicated issues with little initial information or direction and with varying degrees of ambiguity.\nProficient in scripting languages.\nAbility to prioritize and delegate responsibilities for multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to work well with people and be both highly motivated and motivating.\nStrong presentation and leadership skills.\nPreferred skills:\nPrivate Cloud\nVMWare Space (Hyperviser, Clicker)\nDev Ops Continuous Integration and Delivery\nPrivate or Public Cloud experience and tools:\nVMWare\nHyperviser\nCllicker\nCM Experience – Puppet is ideal, but will look at Chef, Ansible, Assault\nUsing GIT as source control\nPublic cloud exp is nice to have – AWS, Rackspace\nExperience with Jenkins, Maven, etc.\nNice to have an understanding of Automated Testing\n\nV3Main offers excellent careers opportunities for professionals who possess outstanding interpersonal skills and are results-oriented team players.
