Paralegal (Top Secret Clearance Required)

Paralegal Employment Type:Full-Time, Mid-Level Department:Legal CGS is seeking a dedicated Paralegal to join a fast-paced and hard-working team to assist with legal accounts. The Paralegal will support various aspects of the company's portfolio. Skills and Attributes for Success:The Contractor shall provide professional, accurate, timely, and reliable paralegal support, reporting to the OGC, assisting LITB or IALB, often developing work products with minimal supervision. The General Paralegal tasks include, but are not limited to: Receiving, prioritizing, and processing requests such as document review or legal advice; Researching and locating relevant legal information, laws, judicial decisions, and articles; Performing legal research, summarizing transcripts, reviewing case materials, and identifying conflicting statements; Drafting legal memoranda and correspondence; Assisting in preparing legal documents, conducting legal analysis, and supporting litigation phases; Reviewing discovery materials for relevancy and privilege, and preparing privilege logs; Maintaining documentation of case-related records and communications; Supporting in drafting preservation notices and litigation holds; Generating reports on case assignments and productivity; Analyzing and interpreting client requests; Gathering materials for discovery, conducting outreach, and interviews; Assisting in declaration preparations; Scanning paper materials and performing legal privilege reviews using eDiscovery platforms; Applying redactions to privileged information, reviewing peer work, and ensuring quality; Supporting team collaboration and project organization; Maintaining detailed case notes and entering data into case management systems; Preparing releases, providing professional customer service, and prioritizing projects; Supporting representation efforts and coordinating classification reviews; Collaborating with discovery team members and advising on privilege applications; Communicating professionally at all levels, providing status updates, and conducting system searches; Supporting legal hold programs, information management, and technology-law intersections. Qualifications:Paralegal certificate, JD, or current attendance at an ABA-accredited law school with at least one year completed; Minimum of two years litigation paralegal experience; trial experience is a plus; At least one year of automated litigation support experience, familiar with federal/state courts, legal research tools like LEXIS and Westlaw; Excellent communication skills, proficiency with computer applications, databases, and eDiscovery tools; Ability to produce high-quality work under pressure.
