Truck Driver-Class A CDL-Local-NIGHTS

D.L. George & Sons Transportation Company is seeking skilled Class A CDL Truck Drivers to deliver to our customers in Maryland and Pennsylvania (2nd/3rd shift-nights). Class A Local Driver Responsibilities and Duties: Operate a tractor trailer to pick up and deliver dry bulk materials Follow a predetermined schedule of pick up and delivery; maintain short haul (exempt) logs. No ELD required! Ability to maneuver and back truck in a safe manner Ability to operate dump valves Ability to complete required documentation Inspect truck equipment and supplies as required, including lights, brakes, fuel, oil and coolant, raising hood, climb to clean windshield and mirrors Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein Class A Local Driver Physical Requirements: Meet Department of Transportation medical, drug and alcohol qualifications Operation of vehicle up to 10 hours per day depending on schedule, 40-60 hours per week, less than 12 hours daily Cranking dolly legs on trailers when hooking up and dropping Open and close valves to handle material Climb 3 feet with steps to hook airlines May be required to work in adverse weather Class A Local Driver Requirements: Class A CDL 21 years old-minimum DMV records 3 years back Class A Local Driver Experience: 1 year preferred Manual Transmission Safety Equipment - Site Specific Safety Glasses (we supply the first time) Hard Hat (we supply the first time) Steel Toe Shoes (limited annual reimbursement) Safety Vest (we supply the first time) D.L George & Sons Employee Benefits: Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance and 401K Plan participation eligibility is the first day following 30 days of employment Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance for the employee is paid for 100% by the company 401K Plan with company match Company paid Life Insurance Company paid Short Term Disability Company paid Holidays Company paid Vacation time based on length of service Company Bonus Program Dependent Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance on a pre-tax basis Additional Benefits: Paid Training Paid Weekly Breakdown Pay Dedicated Runs Assigned Units We are a family owned company with our owners actively involved in the day-to-day operations.
