Our sites and services include Chestnut Square at the Glen, an independent senior living community, and Partners in Healthcare, a homecare agency.\nJob Summary\nThe Controller will oversee the financial activities and work closely with the CEO to ensure a strong focus on both the mission and the margin of the organization.\nResponsibilities for this position include the following:\nWork with CEO to develop strategic plan, ensure financial viability, maintain internal controls and ensure operational efficiency.\nWork with Finance Office Manager to review/revise infrastructure and policies and procedures for the Finance Office.\nOversee day-to-day financial operations.\nWork with accounting software and Chart of Accounts design to measure fiscal activity and accurate financial statements for two distinctive service units.\nPrepare Cash Disbursements, Reconciliation of Bank and Subsidiary Ledger Accounts, Journal Entries for Payroll, Month End Close and Financial Statement Preparation.\nPrepare/analyze all financial statements and other reports in a timely manner for review of CEO and Board of Directors.\nWork with Finance Office Manager to prepare for annual independent audit.\nWork with the CEO and Management Team in planning and overseeing their budgets.\nParticipate in Board and Finance Committee meetings to interpret financial reports and engage in strategic planning.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required\n5-10 years of experience\nStrong organizational and time management skills\nExperience in nonprofit organizations preferred\nProficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel\nAbility to work well with senior management team and board of directors\nAbility to mentor other team members required\nExperience in non-profit organizations and/or senior care preferred\nWe believe our team members are our greatest resource and we reward them accordingly.
