As part of this role you will perform torch tests, record data with excellent documentation, support new test designs, work with hand tools, maintain a safe working environment, and apply powder coatings. Safety and data reliability are valued as this high-visibility role will directly support development on fire protection and dielectric products in electric vehicle, electrification and other markets.\nPPG offers excellent Medical, Dental, & Vision Benefits; matching 401k + retirement savings; and Paid Vacation, Holiday pay.\nKey Responsibilities:\nImplement experiments with guidance from a supervisor or senior members of the project team.\nCollect data and detailed accounts of results in electronic laboratory notebook. Interpret data and make recommendations for future work. Communicate results through written and verbal summaries.\nApply technical know-how according to established procedures and precedents to recommend alternative solutions to problems to pursue project goals.\nPrepare test specimens for a variety of tests.\nCreate a collaborative and inclusive work environment.\nLearn, understand, support and conform to company processes, and follow all EH&S and safety guidelines.\nWork safely with hazardous materials daily, follow rigorous safety procedures, and wear personal protective equipment including the occasional use of a respirator.\nQualifications:\nHigh school diploma required.\nMechanical and mathematical skills.\nPPG pay ranges and benefits can vary by location which allows us to compensate employees competitively in different geographic markets.
