There are six roles available for this position. These positions start in the Fall 2026 semester.\n\nJob Duties & Responsibilities\n\nProvides individual and group Academic Coaching to students focused on the development and refinement of academic skills (time management, organization skills, study skills, reading and comprehension skills, presentation skills, basic technology literacy skills, etc.).\n\nDesigns and delivers workshops and in-service presentations on relevant Academic Coaching topics, including potential classroom visits.\n\nActively outreaches students who may need academic support.\n\nCollaborates with Faculty and Academic Advisors to support student success.\n\nMaintains thorough and timely notes and assessment records.\n\nAids with the day-to-day functioning of the Academic Coaching Program.\n\nIdentifies new resources and creates handouts for the Program.\n\nAttends the Academic Coaching Program GA Orientation: one full‑day training that occurs during the week preceding the start of the Fall 2026 semester (date TBA).\n\nAttends mandatory monthly team meetings during the academic school year.\n\nAttends individual supervision sessions each semester, as assigned.\n\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nWhat Naropa Requires\n\nAll job candidates must demonstrate an appropriate level of understanding of and appreciation for the values of Naropa University and the capacity to demonstrate an integration and embodiment of these values as evidenced in work, communication, collaboration styles, and other general workplace behaviors.\n\nQualifications Naropa Would Prefer in Candidates for this Position\n\nGraduate School of Counseling Psychology students.\n\nPrevious training in the following areas: learning disabilities, multilingual speakers, adaptive technology, diversity awareness, and contemplative education.\n\nStatement of Interest\nExplain why you want to be an Academic Coach. Discuss how this position will support your professional development and career plans. Detail the strengths you would bring to the Academic Coaching Program that might broaden or support the work we do, including but not limited to your experiences teaching and/or tutoring. Leave accrual rates vary based on position, hours worked, and years of service.
