Modifies existing embedded software to correct errors, adapt to new hardware, or improve its performance.\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities, including but, are not limited to:\nAssists and participates in the research, design, development and testing of software and tools, to include development of new work products or enhancing existing applications, systems or embedded products.\nResponsible for developing new embedded software products for power supply control, implementing modern software design principles, resolving complex technical problems and providing solutions which are innovative and ingenious.\nRead and design digital circuits using a CAD tool like Altium.\nFamiliar with serial communication buses like I2C, SPI, and RS-422.\nParticipates in internal review of software components and systems.\nReceives detailed instructions from immediate supervisor.\nCollaborates with project leaders and other professionals within the Engineering department.\nBuilds stable working relationships internally.\nWorks on problems with defined scope, schedule, and expectations.\nFollows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.\nAbility to work flexible hours and/or different shifts, if needed.\nAbility to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including OSHA, EPA, State and Federal Regulations.\nAs the Company’s success relies on the productivity of our team and adherence to customer product schedules, an essential function of this position is the ability to arrive to work on-time, and work each day, as scheduled.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nEducation and Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or similar from a traditional college or university vs. online degree programs.\n5 years related experience preferred.\nExperience with C and assembly programming.\nExperience with 8 and 16-bit embedded programming.\nPreferred experience with Atmel and Texas Instruments microcontroller families.\nExperience reading electrical schematics.\nExperience with electronics laboratory equipment, especially protocol analyzers.\nUnderstanding of Software Configuration Management practices and tools: git (preferred).\nExperience with Windows and Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).\nSalary Range: $80,000 - $151,000 Annually\nClick on this link to read Rantec's Privacy Policy\nRantec is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
