Serve as the primary client interface and ensure projects are executed in accordance with contract requirements, federal acquisition regulations, applicable agency standards, company policies, and exercise of independent judgment, decision-making, and discretion.\nProvide leadership and direction to multidisciplinary project teams, consultants, subcontractors, and technical staff.\nServe as a trusted advisor to internal leadership and project teams regarding project execution, contract requirements, and risk management.\nFoster collaboration across offices, disciplines, and client organizations to ensure successful project outcomes.\nMentor and develop project team members to strengthen project management capabilities and support succession planning.\n\nAt the Operational and Company Level\n\nManage federal contracts and task orders from project initiation through closeout.\nServe as the primary point of contact for federal agencies, contracting officers, contracting officer representatives (CORs), program managers, and other stakeholders.\nSupport business development efforts through client engagement, proposal development, pursuit strategy, and contract capture activities.\nDevelop and maintain strong relationships with federal, state, and local government clients.\nEnsure adherence to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), agency-specific requirements, contract provisions, and company policies.\nCoordinate with finance, contracts, legal, procurement, quality, and technical teams to support project delivery and compliance.\nMonitor project risks and implement mitigation strategies to protect company interests and project performance.\n\nDo the Work\n\nManage all phases of AEC projects including planning, scope definition, scheduling, budgeting, execution, monitoring, and closeout.\nDevelop project management plans, quality plans, communication plans, and risk management strategies.\nLead project kickoff meetings and maintain regular communication with clients and project teams.\nManage project budgets, forecasts, labor utilization, subcontractors, and resource allocations to achieve financial objectives.\nMonitor project performance related to scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and client satisfaction.\nReview and approve project deliverables for compliance with contract requirements and quality standards.\nCoordinate multidisciplinary technical teams including engineering, surveying, planning, environmental, and construction management personnel.\nManage subcontractor and consultant performance, contract compliance, and invoicing.\nPrepare and review project status reports, progress reports, invoices, staffing plans, and earned value metrics as required.\nSupport preparation of cost estimates, fee proposals, technical approaches, and project execution strategies for new opportunities.\nIdentify and resolve project issues proactively, escalating concerns as necessary.\nEnsure compliance with federal reporting requirements, cybersecurity requirements, quality management standards, and project documentation requirements.\nConduct project reviews and lessons learned sessions to support continuous improvement.\nParticipate in client meetings, industry events, and professional organizations to strengthen client relationships and promote company capabilities.\nSupport operational excellence.\nQualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Environmental Science, Planning, or related field required.\nFifteen (15+) or more years of progressive project management experience within the AEC industry.\nMinimum of five (5) years of experience managing federal government contracts and projects.\nDemonstrated experience managing projects for agencies such as USACE, NAVFAC, GSA, FHWA, FAA, FEMA, DoD, DOE, USFS, NPS, or other federal agencies preferred.\nProject Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.\nProfessional Engineer (PE), Registered Architect (RA), Certified Construction Manager (CCM), or other relevant professional licensure preferred.\nStrong knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and federal contracting practices.\nExperience managing contracts, task orders, IDIQ contracts, MATOCs, or similar federal contract vehicles preferred.\nStrong understanding of project controls, scheduling, budgeting, and earned value management principles.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).\nExperience with project management and scheduling software preferred.\nAbility to obtain and maintain security clearances if required by contract.\nPhysical Demands and Working Environment:\nPrimarily indoor professional office environment which may include bright/dim light, noise, fumes, odors, and traffic.\nMobility around an office environment.\nFrequent and prolonged use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.\nPartially outdoor work environment which may include adverse weather conditions, varying temperatures, excessive noise, and/or potential hazards.\nMobility around a job/construction site to include walking, bending, crawling, climbing, squatting, or kneeling and wearing of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).\nPrimarily local
