The selected candidate will play a key role in building a new Monte Carlo simulation cluster and supporting our LLM (Large Language Model) environment hosted in AWS, which is central to our internal AI initiatives.\nEmployment in this role is contingent upon NASA selecting Intuitive Machines as the winner of the LTVS program, scheduled for announcement later in 2025.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, implement, and maintain infrastructure using Ansible, Terraform, and GitLab CI/CD.\nBuild and support a new Monte Carlo simulation cluster for high-performance computing.\nManage and optimize on-prem Linux systems, emphasizing scalability, performance, and reliability.\nContribute to the deployment and maintenance of LLM and AI workloads in AWS.\nDevelop automation scripts and tools in Python; contribute to C/C++ codebases as needed.\nSupport hybrid infrastructure environments that span on-premise and cloud services.\nCollaborate with development teams to enhance DevOps practices and infrastructure as code.\nParticipate in Jira-based agile workflows and process improvement initiatives.\nRequired Qualifications\nMinimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps or infrastructure engineering.\nHands-on experience with GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation.\nProficient in Python scripting with working knowledge of C and C++.\nStrong experience managing Linux-based environments.\nExpertise with Ansible and Terraform.\nFamiliarity with AWS cloud infrastructure and hybrid architectures.\nExposure to AI/ML environments or experience supporting cloud-based AI systems is a plus.\nStrong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively.\nMust be willing to work fully on-premise.\nPreferred Experience\nExperience building or supporting HPC environments or simulation clusters.\nExposure to AI infrastructure, such as model orchestration, data pipelines, and inference workflows.\nFamiliarity with managing or integrating LLMs in production settings.\nAdaptability and interest in learning new tools and technologies.\nEEO Statement\nIntuitive Machines is an Equal Opportunity employer.
