Read more at www.heartmathtutoring.org.\r\nAbout the Role: Program Coordinator\r\nAs part of ensuring high-quality tutoring sessions and a positive experience for volunteers and school staff, Heart Math Tutoring provides an on-site Program Coordinator to each school site. The Program Coordinator is present at their assigned school during tutoring sessions where they assess students and monitor instruction, in addition to providing ongoing training and real-time coaching to tutors. The coordinator is also Heart's liaison to the school, streamlining communication to teachers and hosting the volunteers. The coordinator will build and maintain relationships across various stakeholders: with students, families, tutors, and school staff.\r\nJob Responsibilities\r\nOversee 50 – 60 students' growth in math skills and enthusiasm for academics;\r\nManage and support 50 – 80 weekly volunteers; and\r\nLiaise with teachers, school staff, and families.\r\nTasks\r\nBecome an expert on Heart curriculum and assessments;\r\nDeliver initial training and ongoing support and communication to tutors;\r\nCommunicate with school staff regarding curriculum, students, and schedule issues;\r\nCommunicate with families regarding student and program updates;\r\nDesign and maintain schedule of students and volunteers using Salesforce;\r\nCoordinate and complete student assessments;\r\nMonitor student progress and use this data to support students and tutors;\r\nManage tutoring materials;\r\nAttend weekly team meetings and quarterly professional development trainings;\r\nReport various operational information to Program Manager;\r\nPartner with Heart team in providing and receiving feedback, with the goal of aiding the organization's efforts to establish a strong, scalable program model.\r\nSupporting Role\r\nCoordination of space and time logistics with school staff; and\r\nAct as an ambassador of Heart to personal networks, your local community, and school site.\r\nTypical Work Week\r\nA Program Coordinator will typically work 18-22 hours a week from August to May, with hours within a school day schedule. In all, approximately 12 hours are designated for tutoring support at your school site, and a coordinator will spend approximately 6-8 hours per week on staff meetings and check-ins, scheduling, communications, and computer work.\r\nHours are slightly seasonal, in line with the program calendar.
