This role ensures safe, efficient, and high-quality machine performance within the designated department while supporting overall production goals.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nSet up, operate, and monitor assigned converting machinery to produce products that meet customer specifications, company quality standards, and production schedules.\nIdentify, troubleshoot, and report mechanical or electrical issues affecting machine performance, performing basic adjustments when appropriate and escalating maintenance concerns as needed.\nInspect product output throughout the production process to ensure compliance with quality standards and promptly report any non-conforming materials or production issues to production management.\nAccurately record and maintain production data within the designated production software systems to ensure reliable operational reporting and traceability.\nMaintain an organized and efficient work area by staging materials, managing workflow, and supporting smooth machine operation and production continuity.\nComply with all company safety policies, procedures, and operational guidelines, proactively identifying and reporting safety concerns to minimize workplace risk.\nCollaborate with production leadership to achieve performance objectives and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, output, and operational effectiveness.\nSpecial projects and assignments as business dictates.\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES\nThis position has no supervisory responsibilities\nSKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required.\n4-6 years of machine operation experience preferred.\nBasic mechanical aptitude and ability to learn machine setup, operation, and troubleshooting.\nPrevious experience in a corrugated manufacturing facility preferred.\nAbility to read, interpret, and follow standard operating procedures, work instructions, and safety guidelines.\nReliable attendance and the ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime as needed.\nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented production environment.\nDemonstrated understanding of training methods within a manufacturing or production operation.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nDemonstrated initiative, self-motivation, and willingness to take on additional responsibilities.\nStrong attention to detail with the ability to identify issues or irregularities during production.\nMust be able to complete tasks that require a particular speed or productivity quota.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for a prolonged period as well as bending and stooping regularly.\nThe job duties will require the employee to utilize repetitive fine manipulation with hands.\nThe employee must use hands to handle and feel.\nThe employee is frequently required to talk or hear.\nThe employee is required to reach with hands and arms.\nSpecific vision abilities for this job include close vision, distance vision and depth vision.\nReasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT\nThe noise level in the work environment requires the use of hearing protection.\nThe environment is subject to temperature change with the seasons\nCERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS\nNone required\nOTHER DUTIES\nPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
