Winsert is seeking qualified candidates for a Quality Engineering Technician in Marinette, WI!Pay: $24 - $31 per hourShift: Monday - Friday day shift hoursWinsert offers an excellent benefits package including:Medical, dental, and vision insuranceLife and disabilityHealth savings account with company contributions401k matching contributionsPTOEmployee assistance programESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Assist APQP activities for all products in the prototype, pre-launch, and production phases of manufacturingUpdate and maintain SPC databaseAssist training on and implementation of Statistical Process Control (SPC), Root Causes Analysis, Gauging Techniques, Quality Tools, etc.Assist/perform MSA gage studies, Process Capabilities Studies, PPAP assignmentsPrepare customer layouts (ballooning prints & preparing folders)Assist new product development and prototype activitiesCreate and modify 1st piece checksheetsSupport various gage programming activities (CMM, Formscan, etc.)SECONDARY JOB FUNCTIONS:Assist Six Sigma Quality Projects and Lean, Kaizen Continuous Improvement Projects and statistical problem solvingMonitor process capability that meets customers’ requirements (1.33 Cpk Minimum; 1.67 Cpk preferred.)Assist with corrective action activities for both internal and external customersAssist a positive trend in scrap reduction activitiesInvestigate alternative methods of gauging for the new demands on tighter tolerancesInternal AuditingLayered auditingKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Excellent time management skills, problem-solving skills, and the ability to multi-taskStrong organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent communication skills and interpersonal skillsComputer skills – Mini Tab, MS Project, Microsoft Office Suite, Solid Works, Calypso, reporting programs, data analysisLeadership – ability to train and assist other personnelAbility to adapt to changing requirements with limited interruption or normal work flowMath skills (conversions, geometry, & general)Blue print interpretationGD & T interpretationAbility to comprehend industry standards (i.e. DIN, ISO, ASTM, ect.)PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Must be able to actively move through production area to work with staffVision must be correctable to allow reading/viewing of documents and computer screenHearing must be correctable to allow understanding of instructions and communication with othersMobility and coordination must allow for required tasks to be completed.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:5 years’ experience manufacturing plus 3 years QA department support activitiesExperience with 8-D Discipline Correction Action, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, and Six Sigma, Lean, Statistical Process Control, Mini Tab Software.Two year technical degree in quality/engineering or equivalent ASQ Certification or equivalent work experience & skillsBackground in IATF 16949 or ISO 9001 compliance.
