Your attention to quality, safety, equipment performance, and food manufacturing standards will help ensure products are packaged accurately and efficiently while meeting customer and regulatory requirements.\n\nWHAT YOU WILL DO…\n\nOperate packaging equipment safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established procedures.\n\nProduce packaged products that meet production schedules and customer specifications.\n\nMonitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.\n\nInspect finished products to ensure proper seals, accurate coding, legible printing, and compliance with quality standards.\n\nUnderstand and perform machine setup, changeovers, and sanitation activities.\n\nEnsure equipment is properly lubricated and maintained according to operating procedures.\n\nMonitor equipment to verify products are being processed and packaged according to specifications.\n\nReport product quality concerns, equipment issues, malfunctions, or safety hazards to supervision.\n\nFollow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and other safety requirements.\n\nMaintain a clean and organized work area, including around machinery and electrical panels.\n\nWear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adhere to all GMP, USDA, food safety, and sanitation requirements.\n\nComplete required production documentation, including downtime logs and operational records.\n\nPerform light preventative maintenance activities as assigned.\n\nSupport production start-ups and changeovers to ensure timely operations.\n\nPerform other duties as assigned by team leadership.\n\nWHO YOU WILL WORK WITH…\n\nProduction Team Members\n\nTeam Leaders and Production Supervisors\n\nMaintenance Technicians\n\nQuality Assurance and Food Safety Teams\n\nSanitation Personnel\n\nCross-functional Manufacturing Teams\n\nWHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE… (MUST HAVE)\n\nAbility to communicate effectively in a manufacturing environment.\n\nBasic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.\n\nAbility to use a calculator and complete production-related calculations.\n\nAbility to work safely around moving machinery and follow operating procedures.\n\nAbility to stand for extended periods and occasionally climb steps or stairs.\n\nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and frequently lift between 20 and 40 pounds.\n\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision.\n\nAbility to follow GMPs, USDA requirements, sanitation standards, and food safety procedures.\n\nAbility to follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.\n\nCommitment to quality, safety, and productivity standards.\n\nAbility to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\n\nWork Environment\n\nManufacturing environment with moving machinery and equipment.\n\nExposure to hot, cold, and refrigerated products.\n\nModerate to loud noise levels.\n\nWet and potentially slippery floor conditions.\n\nRequires awareness of surroundings and safe work practices at all times.\n\nIT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE… (NICE TO HAVE)\n\nPrevious food manufacturing or packaging experience.\n\nExperience operating production or packaging equipment.\n\nFamiliarity with machine setup, troubleshooting, and changeovers.\n\nExperience performing basic preventative maintenance activities.\n\nKnowledge of USDA regulations, GMPs, and food safety requirements.\n\nUnderstanding of quality control processes in a manufacturing environment.\n\nExperience reviewing production documentation and downtime tracking.\n\nStrong teamwork and problem-solving skills.\n\nDocumentation & Procedures\n\nSafety Rules and GMP Compliance\n\nProduct Quality Standards\n\nEquipment SOPs and Downtime Logs\n\nPPE Requirements and Food Safety Procedures\n\nProduct-Specific Packaging Standards and Operating Guidelines\n\nCompensation\n\nPay: $16.55/hour\n\nShifts: 1st and 2nd shifts available\n\nLocation: 200 Michael Angelo Way, Austin, TX 78728\n\nIndividual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training.
