Duties include working with engineering teams in the planning, sequencing, assembling, and issuing of construction Work Packages; development of installation specifications, 3D model coordination, interpreting design drawings and specifications, field verification of materials, monitoring construction progress, response to questions by constructors, providing direction in the field to ensure construction is in compliance with engineering documentation and developing handover packages to commissioning.\nWhat you'll do:\nDirect technical oversight of construction contractors for all CFS systems\nOwn construction change management system\nReport weekly construction progress and issues to project managers\nDevelop and maintain standards for construction work packages, specifications, and all other construction documentation across one or multiple projects\nInterface with System Responsible Officers to maintain quality, schedule and budget for developing and executing engineered systems\nCoordinate with engineering on constructability and design issues relating to plant systems\nIdentify the content of engineering document packages (Work Packages) required to support construction activities in the field\nPlan, sequence, assemble, and issue construction Work Packages\nEstablish strong working relationships with the engineering teams responsible for the various process systems to facilitate conversion of engineering/design to physical plant\nOversee the maintenance of construction configuration management\nTrack, report, and forecast activities in the field\nCoordinate with the Procurement Organization for field procured materials, material substitution, services, and equipment\nReview material receiving reports and warehousing to assure delivery of correct materials\nCoordinate the preparation of cost reports, forecasts, and progress reports\nCoordinate with Field Supervision and Subcontractors to plan/support construction schedules\nRecommend and implement procedures to ensure construction remains in compliance with the requirements of engineering and design\nEnsure engineering and procurement provide timely delivery of drawings, materials, and equipment\nSupport the construction quality program\nSupport problem solving in the field and serve as liaison between Construction and Engineering\nSupport development and implementation of the Request for Information (RFI) process between Construction and CFS engineering\nDevelop turnover packages in accordance with defined system / sub-system breakdown\nTrack pending issues and actions impacting system turnover\nCoordinate and facilitate system walkdowns\nReview field generated inspection records for quality and completeness\nReview field generated punch list items for quality and completeness and progress in project\nWhat we’re looking for:\nBS in Mechanical, Electrical, or other engineering discipline\nMinimum 10 years in industrial plant design and construction environment\nKnowledge of the process to engineer, design and construct complex industrial projects\nFamiliar with construction change management\nExperience using 3D model\nKnowledge of heavy industrial codes and standards\nGood knowledge base across all construction disciplines (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation & Controls)\nExcellent communication skills\nBonus points for:\nExperience leading a team of project or field engineers for large industrial construction projects\nCertification in engineering management or construction management\nMust-have requirements:\nPerform activities such as stooping, climbing, typing, standing, or sitting for extended periods of time\nWillingness to occasionally travel or work required nights/weekends/on-call\nWork in a facility that contains industrial hazards including heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead (Pb), high voltage, high current, pressure systems, and cryogenics\nSalary range for this full-time position + equity + benefits.
