This position is a key member of the plant management team and has influence and shared accountability for plant safety, quality, cost performance and assurance of long-term viability and operations success in Duke, OK.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nEstablish and maintain safe working conditions and procedures.\nDevelop personal knowledge of the production process and equipment.\nDevelop personal knowledge of quality including ASTM and UL requirements.\nWork in conjunction with other department managers & employees to solve problems and improve plant safety, quality, and efficiency.\nExecute capital and major maintenance projects.\nRecommend and implement improvements to increase efficiency.\nMaintain proactive working habits to improve performance of crew and daily operations.\nDevelop a detailed technical knowledge of processes and equipment along with the control systems to support operations and maintenance.\nDevelop personal knowledge of Company policies, procedures, and culture.\nOversee the milling and calcination operations to ensure sufficient stucco supply for wallboard production.\nManage long-term capital and operations planning for the mine and ore haul departments.\nAll other duties and responsibilities as assigned.\nIdeal Background Education: Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Biochemical, or Petroleum Engineering from an accredited university is required.\nRegistration: Professional Engineering registration or CPIP certification is highly preferred.\nExperience: Requires 3+ years of relevant industrial experience in chemical, petroleum, or biochemical process design engineering.\nRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Experience preparing and submitting requests for capital and project management.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to work effectively in a team environment.\nStrong information gathering, investigative, and troubleshooting skills.\nStrong computer skills and capability to develop and update maps, sketches, and prints.\nStrong organizational skills, ability to handle multiple projects and timelines.\nMust possess technical skills and abilities that are generally expected from degreed engineers.\nMust be able to adapt to changing conditions to achieve set business goals.\nPhysical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.\nBenefits We proudly offer a comprehensive benefits package including paid holidays, personal paid time off, medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, 401(k), and other benefits to eligible teammates.\nEqual Opportunity Employment Statement Hargrove is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
