ETL Developer (Snowflake, SQL, Python)Location: Orlando, FL (onsite)Duration: 12+ monthsClient is seeking a skilled ETL Developer with strong expertise in Snowflake, SQL, and Python to design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, and cloud-based data platforms.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and SQLBuild and optimize data models in Snowflake (Star/Snowflake schema)Develop scalable data ingestion frameworks for structured and semi-structured dataWrite complex SQL queries for data transformation, validation, and performance tuningWork with large datasets and ensure high data quality and integrityImplement data loading strategies (batch and incremental loads)Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize ETL jobs for performance and reliabilityCollaborate with Data Engineers, Analysts, and Business teams for data requirementsImplement best practices for data governance, security, and complianceAutomate workflows using orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow or similar)Required SkillsStrong experience with Snowflake (data modeling, performance tuning, SnowSQL, Snowpipe)Advanced SQL skills (joins, window functions, CTEs, query optimization)Proficiency in Python for data processing (Pandas, PySpark is a plus)Hands-on experience in ETL/ELT tools or frameworksExperience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modelingExperience with file formats like JSON, Parquet, CSVFamiliarity with version control tools like GitPreferred QualificationsExperience with orchestration tools like Apache AirflowKnowledge of Dataiku or similar data science platformsExperience with CI/CD pipelines in data engineeringUnderstanding of data lake architecturesExposure to R programming (nice to have)Metasys Technologies is an equal opportunity employer.
