The role is under the general supervision of the Department Coordinator and involves handling various administrative tasks to support the department and providing general information and assistance to the public.Duties and Responsibilities:Perform a wide range of receptionist duties in support of the department, including answering in-person and phone inquiries.General clerical duties, including document management, file organization, scanning, and filing.Perform data entry tasks.The position will handle end-of-month accounting responsibilities and provide support with payroll processing as needed.Other duties may be assigned as necessary.Qualifications and Requirements:Demonstrated excellent communication, writing, and organizational skills.Demonstrated excellent computer software skills with a variety of software types, including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation applications.Previous administrative experience is preferred.Experience in managing office financial processes is preferred.Applicants who are offered appointments will be required to pass a drug screening, a comprehensive background investigation, and a driver's license check.The City of Laramie is an EEO/ADA employer and a smoke-free workplace.
