This individual will assist with the design of a variety of projects that may include refineries, ammonia/fertilizer plants, logistics/terminals, and more.\nResponsibilities:\nGain and apply design knowledge in power distribution, grounding, lighting, control systems, and equipment specification and selection.\nAssist with preparation of electrical equipment specifications for MCC's, switchgear, substations, and other electrical equipment selection.\nAssist with reviewing specifications, drawings, and vendor equipment documentation within the electrical engineering discipline and across other engineering disciplines to ensure compliance with project requirements.\nAssist the project team in completing projects with specified electrical deliverables such as equipment supplier bid evaluation, load lists, electrical equipment schedules, cable and conduit schedules, generator sizing, one-line diagrams for low and medium voltage, hazardous area classification drawings, and ground grid design.\nWork directly with licensed engineers, project managers, and designers.\nLearn and use industry-specific design software.\nLearn the full design process from start to finish.\nAssist the project team in meeting client expectations and schedules.\nEnsure adherence to industry standards and building codes.\nRequirements:\nB.S. in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.\n0-3+ years of relevant experience or internships preferred.\nPassed or pursuing FE certification.\nExperience with Microsoft Office.\nExperience in AutoCAD is preferred.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nStrong desire to be part of a team-oriented culture.\nExcellent time management skills.\nBenefits:\nMKEC offers a competitive compensation package in addition to the following benefits:\nGroup Health Plan\nDental Plan\nPaid Time Off (PTO)\nPaid Holidays\nDisability Insurance - Short & Long-Term\nLife Insurance / AD&D\nFlex Spending Account\n401k Retirement Plan\nProfit Sharing Plan\nYMCA Discounted Membership\nCompany Culture at MKEC:\nWe enjoy the work we do.
