Our highly qualified staff support our culinary program in preparing tasty and nutritious food, made from scratch, with a strong emphasis on local and organically grown ingredients. Compensation: $21.00 per hour.\r\nResponsibilities Maintain Front-of-House standards to ensure superior service.\r\nCreate, edit, print, cut, and display daily food cards for each service.\r\nDesign café signage with ingredient lists and allergen symbols.\r\nReceive and act on Chef communications regarding menu changes.\r\nServe as host/hostess during all service hours and support kitchen staff with special guest needs.\r\nInspect dining room serving stations and tables for cleanliness and tidy condition; re-stock supplies, prepare beverages, and expedite orders.\r\nStock salad bar and deli stations while maintaining safety and sanitation procedures (OSHA, Department of Public Health, Risk Management).\r\nReceive and reconcile vendor invoices; upload daily meal counts, logs, and pastry counts.\r\nReview and edit front-of-house menus and the Digital Menu Board for accurate spelling and punctuation.\r\nEnsure consistent quality of prepared items by following tasting templates and proper rotation and storage of goods.\r\nTaste all food prepared to ensure flavor, freshness, and quality.\r\nMaintain a clean and organized station; continually seek opportunities to improve the customer experience.\r\nAccommodate any special needs of guests.\r\nMonitor the number of guests entering the café and re-stock utensils, plates, glasses, and napkins.\r\nCoordinate and direct daily tasks to ensure quality of production and a positive workflow.\r\nProvide consistent communication to management on operational tasks and team effectiveness.\r\nPerform other duties as assigned.\r\nRequirements Strong understanding of food and allergens, and knowledge of corporate kitchens.\r\nExceptional personal record of punctuality and attendance.\r\nActive management-level food handler certification (e.g., ServSafe or local/state equivalent).\r\nProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Publisher).\r\nAbility to work under pressure and adapt to a diverse working environment.\r\nFood industry knowledge and understanding of industry terms and products.\r\nInterpersonal and organizational skills.\r\nHigh school diploma.\r\nMinimum 1 year of related industry experience.\r\nBenefits Monday-Friday schedule, 6:00AM–2:30PM with weekends off.\r\n12 paid holidays.\r\nFull medical, vision, and dental coverage.\r\nCompetitive pay.\r\nOn-the-job training toward a management position.\r\nFree meals and snacks during shift.\r\nEqual Employment Opportunity Flagship is an equal opportunity employer.
