We focus on what our customer needs on the jobsite – a machine that holds up in the toughest environment and increases their productivity.\n\nAt JCB, we stand behind our products – and our name.\nEMPLOYER/VET/DISABLED.\n\nPosition Summary\nThis position is to work as part of a team responsible for the development of both commercial and military enhanced vehicles.\n\nPosition Type\nExempt\n\nMajor Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities\n\nConduct development tests on new products\nSet-up and calibrate instrumentation for measuring pressures, temperatures, strain levels\nWrite timely and accurate test and development reports\nCarry out regular risk assessments and ensure health and safety is at the forefront of daily tasks\nDevelop test procedures and customer acceptance standards\nProblem analysis and the proposal of design solutions\nDesign, commission and operate test rigs\nMinimum Qualifications\n\nBachelor’s degree in manufacturing, engineering or related field\nExperience with engineering/design in a manufacturing environment\nMust pass any drug screens, background checks and any pre-employments tests as applicable.\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nHands on experience with development\nKnowledge of skid steer machines, telehandlers and backhoe loaders\nExperience working to military standards and contracts\nKnowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies\n\nEffective organizational and communication skills\nGood analytical skills with a practical balance of shop floor experience\nKnowledge of manufacturing equipment and processes\nHighly motivated self-starter\nDetail oriented\nCreative problem-solving skills\nMulti-task while maintaining a sense of urgency\nFlexibility with work activities\nMust wear Personal Protective Equipment as required\nDetail understanding of hydraulic systems\nCompetent off-highway machinery operator\n3D CAD skills, preferably Unigraphics\nWork with minimal supervision\nDemonstrated can-do attitude\nProficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Aspects SAP\nJob Conditions:\n\nBoth office environment and occasionally manufacturing/factory environment\nSubject to noise and temperature changes\nPhysical Requirements:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
