They are also responsible for making sure that the packs are packaged to ensure that they will make it to the customer without damage to the product.\nDuties/Responsibilities:\nClock in upon arrival, also punch into material handling and clock out when leaving GF property.\nMust have a forklift license to safely operate a forklift truck.\nDaily safety check and a forklift checklist needs to be filled out completely and correctly.\nAble to understand Sales Orders, and Job Travelers.\nClock in upon arrival, also punch into material handling and clock out when leaving GF property.\nKnowledge and understanding of Customer Shipment Entry in Epicor software to see if skids can be combined or not and also enter the skid weight after the skids are wrapped.\nAll skids packaged should match what is stated in our Customer Specification Book.\nKnowledge of why and how to reinforce skids when needed while safely using power tools and pneumatic tools.\nRequired Skills/Abilities:\nOperate an electric or manual hand jack.\nGood oral communication skills.\nSelf-motivated and interested in learning other positions.\nGood understanding of basic math skills (+, -, x, /)\nAbility to accurately use a tape measure.\nAble to work in a fast-paced team environment.\nMust work well with others in a team atmosphere.\nExcellent attendance.\nDetail / Quality oriented.\nWork overtime when needed.\nAble to maintain a clean work area.\nBe a safety conscious individual who takes their time to do all duties properly and safely.\nEducation and Experience:\nHigh school diploma or GED and manufacturing experience preferred but not necessary.\nPhysical Requirements:\nProlonged periods standing, lifting, and being hunched over.\nMust be able to lift 60 pounds.\nMust be able to traverse facility on unforgiving surfaces.\nMust be able to work in hot and cold climates and in an environment with various noises.\nSafety Requirements:\nMust wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE): Safety Glasses must be worn while in the production areas.\nMust wear work appropriate apparel. No hoodies, open toe shoes or head/earphones.\nWhen driving the forklift, proper forklift safety rules must be used at all times.\nMust use proper lifting techniques.\nMust use proper Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) rules for mechanical issues.\nWhen using chemicals, must replace in original container and be labeled to identify the contents inside.\nMust make sure there is at least one person who knows where you are always in case of fire or natural disaster as part of the buddy system.\nThe above job description represents the basic requirements to be successful.
