Whether it is sales, service, parts, leasing, or rentals - Ballard’s been keeping the community rolling for over 100 years.Ballard Truck Center in Hermon, ME has immediate openings for Diesel Technicians.Job Overview: The Diesel Technician will be responsible for performing all tractor and trailer repairing estimation diagnosis and correction following standard operating procedures (SOP’s). Completes routine rebuilds and replacements, makes best value and safety decisions to continue to operate, repair or replace, and performs technical repairs and/or replacement.Duties & Responsibilities - Diesel TechnicianFollows workplace and vehicle safety procedures consistently. Follows MSDS training and guidelines. Able to perform proper Preventive Maintenance - lube, filters, inspection - includes truck appearance, interior and exterior, cab related, safety, security Basic electrical - repair and replace starters/alternators/batteries Inspect & replace basic engine componentsProficient at brake diagnostic/repair& replace/adjustments Direct/Indirect labor accountability (completing personal paperwork) Follow good housekeeping standards Inspect & replace drive line componentsRemove and replace transmission and clutch (R&R)Advanced and continually upgrading toolsValve and injector adjustments Remove and replace steering & chassis componentsBasic welding & cutting 20.
