Shift: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
This position is for the Power/Energy division.
We are looking for a Material Handling Operator/Driver
Maintain transfer and production operations in accordance with plant policies and procedures.
Verify all loading and unloading of materials.
Assist inventory control with verification of counts and materials.
Complete loading and unloading documentation when required.
Rack materials per instructions.
Communicate any issues with materials, racks, or trucks to the supervisor.
Assist with processing inbound and outbound racks as needed.
Assemble customer shipments from OSS and place castings in crates or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department.
Prepare products for shipping.
Ensure the warehouse is clean, orderly, and visually compliant with 5S policy.
Move materials from receiving or storage areas to shipping or other designated areas.
Follow all forklift safety regulations, including wearing a seatbelt at all times.
Perform general labor duties when required.
Schedule and coordinate truck activities.
Drive the company truck to destinations, pick up donated items, and unload at warehouse or facility locations as directed by management.
Maintain truck logs by completing weekly inspection forms.
Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water prior to departure.
Advise the supervisor if servicing is required and perform emergency roadside repairs if needed.
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of forklift experience (required), including pallet jack operation. Must have a current forklift certification.
Certification or Licensing Requirements: Valid Florida driver’s license with at least two years of driving experience and an acceptable motor vehicle report.
Stand for extended periods, including 6 to 8 hours. Lift up to 50 pounds.
Perform walking, standing, hand use, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and pushing or pulling daily.
English required. Spanish is a plus.
Work in a high-noise environment.
Ability and desire to work safely. Ability to work overtime when required. Must be able to work weekends when required.
Required vision abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
