The ideal candidate has hands-on sitework and earthwork experience, strong technical skills (grading, utilities, drainage and erosion control), and proficiency with construction management and design software.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nSupport the Project Manager in planning and executing sitework and earthwork construction activities from pre-construction through closeout.\nReview construction drawings, specifications and geotechnical reports to develop means and methods, constructability input and sequencing plans.\nCoordinate subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors and testing agencies to maintain schedule, quality and safety standards.\nPerform quantity takeoffs, assist with cost estimating, prepare scope documentation and support change order development and negotiation.\nManage RFIs, submittals and shop drawing review; ensure timely responses and maintain submittal logs.\nOversee erosion & sediment control, stormwater management and SWPPP implementation and monitor compliance with permits.\nSupervise site utility installation including sanitary sewer and water main work, storm sewer and drainage systems, and related site utilities.\nDirect and inspect earthwork operations, grading, excavation, trench shoring, soil compaction and material testing to meet project and geotechnical requirements.\nInspect and coordinate site concrete, curb & gutter, retaining walls, pavement (asphalt and concrete) and other site improvements.\nAdminister QA/QC inspections, document non-conformances, track corrective actions and support final acceptance activities.\nMaintain daily reports, diaries and complete construction documentation using Procore, Bluebeam, PlanGrid and other project controls tools.\nAssist with schedule development and maintenance (MS Project / Primavera / CPM) and provide updates on progress and critical path activities.\nCoordinate traffic control/MOT, permit acquisition and maintain compliance with OSHA and site safety plans.\nUse construction staking, surveying data and GPS machine control to verify elevations, alignments and quantities in the field.\nCommunicate project status, risks and action items to the project team, owners, engineers and other stakeholders.\nQualifications\nMinimum 3 years of hands-on experience in sitework and earthwork construction; experience in a construction management or assistant PM role preferred.\nProven experience with grading, excavation, erosion & sediment control, stormwater management and SWPPP implementation.\nPractical knowledge of site utilities: sanitary sewer installation, water main installation, storm sewers and drainage systems.\nExperience with pavement, curb & gutter, site concrete, retaining walls and related site infrastructure.\nAbility to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings and geotechnical reports; experience with construction staking and surveying.\nProficiency in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D; familiarity with GPS machine control and surveying tools.\nSkilled in quantity takeoffs, cost estimating, change order management, RFIs and submittal processes.\nExperience with construction management platforms such as Procore, Bluebeam and PlanGrid.\nWorking knowledge of material testing, soil compaction requirements and coordination with testing laboratories.\nFamiliarity with trench shoring methods, traffic control/MOT procedures and OSHA safety regulations; OSHA 10 or 30 preferred.\nStrong communication, organization and subcontractor coordination skills with the ability to document and report construction activities accurately.\nBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nValid driver's license and ability to work on-site in variable weather conditions.
