This individual will play a key role in ensuring critical utility systems meet GMP requirements while supporting manufacturing readiness and long-term operational excellence.\nThe ideal candidate will have experience with pharmaceutical or biotechnology facilities and possess strong technical knowledge of clean utilities, water systems, clean steam, and Clean-in-Place (CIP) processes. Experience supporting large capital projects, facility startup activities, or new facility commissioning is highly preferred.\nKey Responsibilities\nProvide engineering support for clean utility systems including Purified Water (PW), Water for Injection (WFI), Clean Steam, Process Gases, and related distribution systems.\nSupport design review, startup, commissioning, qualification, and operational readiness activities for utility and CIP systems.\nCollaborate with project teams, equipment vendors, automation teams, validation groups, and manufacturing stakeholders to ensure successful system implementation.\nAnalyze process and utility system performance and identify opportunities for optimization, reliability improvements, and operational efficiencies.\nSupport development and review of engineering documentation including URS, P&IDs, SOPs, commissioning protocols, qualification documents, and change controls.\nProvide technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis for utility and CIP-related issues.\nEnsure systems remain compliant with GMP regulations, internal quality standards, and applicable industry requirements.\nParticipate in capital project execution and support integration of new equipment and systems into manufacturing operations.\nAssist with risk assessments, investigations, deviations, CAPAs, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nPartner with manufacturing, maintenance, quality, validation, and facilities teams to support production goals.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related engineering discipline.\n5+ years of engineering experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, biologics, medical device, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.\nHands-on experience supporting Clean-in-Place (CIP) systems.\nExperience with one or more clean utility systems including:\nPurified Water (PW)\nWater for Injection (WFI)\nClean Steam\nProcess Gases\nUtility Distribution Systems\nStrong understanding of GMP-regulated environments.\nExperience with technical investigations, change controls, and engineering documentation.\nExcellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting greenfield or brownfield facility startup projects.\nExperience with commissioning, qualification, and validation activities.\nKnowledge of ASME BPE standards and pharmaceutical utility design principles.\nExperience supporting biologics, sterile manufacturing, or pharmaceutical production facilities.\nFamiliarity with DeltaV, Rockwell, Siemens, or other automated process control systems.\nExperience leading continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.\nDisclaimer: Brooksource, Medasource, and Calculated Hire are part of the Eight Eleven Group family of companies and operate under Eight Eleven Group, LLC.
