With expertise in mammalian, microbial, and gene therapy services, as well as process development and process characterization, BIB is at the forefront of advancing biotechnological solutions. We are currently seeking a strategic and experienced Business Development & Sales Associate Director/Director for a field-based role. The successful candidate will be results-driven, and instrumental in developing new client accounts while nurturing existing relationships with a focus on driving direct sales.Position OverviewAs the Business Development & Sales Associate Director / Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the company’s business development strategies. The ideal candidate will drive business growth through effective sales strategies, client engagement, and establishing key partnerships. The territory covered will be East Coast, USA and candidates must reside in one of the eastern states of the US and able to work remotely.Location: Must be located on the East Coast, USTerms: Full-time, remote, however some office travel may be required, no visa sponsorshipRevenue GenerationAssociate Director Key Responsibilities:Meet and exceed sales targets, contributing significantly to the overall financial objectives.Drive revenue growth through successful negotiation and closing of key deals.Sales Strategy And Relationship BuildingCollaborate with the executive team to establish effective sales strategies.Build and strengthen client relationships through effective communication and partnerships.Strategic Business DevelopmentDevelop and execute comprehensive business development strategies aligned with company goals.Identify new business opportunities and market trends, ensuring a competitive edge.Team LeadershipMentor and manage junior associates to ensure collective achievement of sales targets.Drive internal weekly/monthly/quarterly meetings, reporting on team activities.Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Cross-Functional CollaborationCollaborate with internal teams, including R&D, Operations, and Marketing, to ensure seamless client engagement.Market Analysis And IntelligenceStay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics.Provide insights and recommendations for adapting business strategies.Sales Presentations And Proposal PreparationDeliver compelling sales presentations to both internal and external clients.Assist in the preparation of quotations for prospective sales proposals and orders.Conferences And TradeshowsIdentify relevant conferences and tradeshows to attend and/or exhibit at, driving company brand awareness and visibility.Job RequirementsEducation and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Business discipline required; advanced degree preferred.Proven track record with a minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience in sales and or business development, or transferrable skills in biotech or bio-pharmaceutical industry.Full English professional proficiency required.A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience with biologics CDMO contract service providers is a must.Sales ExpertiseStrong commercial focus with a demonstrated success in driving significant revenue growth through strategic sales initiatives.Passion in sales and high self-discipline.Client FocusStrong client-centric approach with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Outstanding ability to build key client relationships.Extensive existing biopharmaceutical industry contacts/network is preferred.Leadership SkillsProven leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and guide a high-performing team.Ability to work independently and in a team environment.Strategic ThinkingAbility to think strategically and translate strategies into actionable plans.Negotiation SkillsExceptional negotiation skills with a track record of closing complex deals.AdaptabilityAbility to adapt to evolving industry trends and changing business landscapes.Some travel may be required for this position.Salary Range: $130,000 – $160,000Please email your resume and why you believe you are a good fit for this position directly to career@bostonbib.com Thank you!Apply NowDon't Wait, InnovateAlliance for People’s Health.
