If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with the smartest team and the very latest technologies, then this is the job for you!\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nDesign and implement web application features using modern web frameworks and techniques, from requirements to production and deployment\nAdd new functionality and solve customer-facing bugs within an existing web application\nContribute to the architecture and design of new and existing User Interfaces\nPrepare prototypes/screenshots to share with stakeholders for review and approval\nAdvice on best practices, new techniques, software quality, and process improvement\nCreate, modify, and maintain RESTful Web Services\nDevelop applications built with Go, GraphQL, Vue, and similar modern technologies\nAssist with the estimation of time and effort required to implement new features\nParticipate in design reviews, peer code reviews, and improve overall product quality\nInterface with cross-functional teams to successfully implement feature dependencies\nAct as a member of an Agile scrum team\nQualifications:\n3+ years of related full-stack development\nProven working experience in front and back-end application development\nStrong expertise with various JavaScript frameworks (Vue, Angular, etc.)\nStrong expertise with Web Services and RESTful Applications\nExpertise with NodeJS, WebSockets and in-depth understanding of Microservices methodologies\nFamiliarity with HTML5 and CSS3\nFamiliarity with system-level issues such as scaling, security, and responsiveness\nSolid programming experience in object-oriented design and development\nLinux or a POSIX O/S environment\nFamiliarity with software configuration management, defect tracking tools, and peer review\nStrong documentation and writing skills\n\nAdditional experience in the following areas is a plus\n\nKnowledge of satellite communication protocols\nC++, Java, or other object-oriented programming language\nUnderstanding of SQL and database access for relational Databases; PostgreSQL, MariaDB, MySQL\nWorking knowledge of NoSQL databases (Redis, MongoDB, etc.)\nFamiliarity with Responsive Design Frameworks such as Bootstrap\nFamiliarity with developing web interfaces for embedded devices a plus\nNetworking protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP and IPv6\nFamiliarity with Docker, GraphQL, Kubernetes, Go, Conan, cmake, C++11\nWorking knowledge of Jira, Confluence, BitBucket, Git, SharePoint, Jenkins and Artifactory\n\nEducation: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software, Systems, Mathematics, or related technical field.\n\nClearance: Active DoD security clearance or ability to obtain a secret level DoD clearance.\n\nTravel: 0-10%\n\nPay Range: $70,769 - $123,818\n\nThe iDirect Government salary range for this position is intended to provide a general guideline for compensation.
