Field Support Tech
Required Experience5+ years’ experience preferred with Client Technology Support in an Ethernet based TCP/IP Network environment. Experience with Field Support Significant experience installing, configuring, upgrading and repairing Windows desktop, and laptop computers. Experience supporting mobile devices. Experience in using PC imaging software including MDT. Experience with remote user support. ResponsibilitiesInstalling, configuring, upgrading and repairing desktop and laptop computers running Microsoft Windows 7/8/10 Enterprise. Imaging new and existing desktop/laptop computers. Deploying and configuring mobile devices. Ensuring complete security, confidentiality, reliability and integrity of corporate data, proprietary information and intellectual property. Must be able to troubleshoot problems, interface with customers, Information Technology personnel, other departments and vendors to help minimize down time and outages. Must be able to work independently and as a team member on multiple projects. Individual will also need to be self-motivated and perform on-call duties on a rotating schedule. Education4-yr College degree in Information Technology or related field is preferred. Skills RequiredThorough understanding of Microsoft Windows 7/8/10 Enterprise & O365. Experience with Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) or other PC imaging technologies. Experience with both manual and automated software installation methods. Thorough understanding of migrating user data and settings to new PCs. Basic understanding of scripting languages such as PowerShell. Ability to upgrade desktop and laptop computers with RAM, hard drives, network interface cards, etc. Familiarity with Microsoft products such as Office, Internet Explorer, SharePoint, etc. Experience with TCP/IP networking and the ability to troubleshoot a variety of network devices like computers, printers, and more. Able to work independently and as a team member.
