You will help us find practical ways to use AI to improve how documentation is created, maintained, published, and delivered. Working primarily with the Documentation team, you will use large language models (LLMs), agentic AI, and automation to improve content and publishing workflows, reduce manual effort, and make technical knowledge more accessible to customers and AI-powered applications.\n\nYou will also have opportunities to apply these capabilities to other customer-facing workflows where AI and automation can improve efficiency and the customer experience.\n\nThis role requires strong software engineering fundamentals and demonstrated experience building AI applications, agents, integrations, and automated workflows.\n\nResponsibilities\n• Design, build, test, and deploy AI applications, agents, and automated workflows that\nimprove how technical documentation is created, maintained, published, and delivered.\n• Develop AI-enabled content pipelines that transform developer documentation, API\nspecifications, product information, and other technical sources into accurate,\nmaintainable customer-facing content.\n• Build integrations across documentation repositories, content and publishing platforms,\nsource control systems, APIs, and other tools to automate documentation workflows\nand reduce manual effort.\n• Design and implement agentic workflows and Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers\nthat connect AI applications with documentation systems, technical content, APIs, tools,\nand enterprise workflows.\n• Develop reusable AI capabilities and platform components, taking solutions from\nprototype through reliable production deployment with appropriate testing, evaluation,\nobservability, safeguards, and human oversight.\n• Partner with technical writers, software engineers, product teams, support teams, and\nother stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and translate business needs\ninto practical technical solutions.\n• Evaluate and apply emerging AI models, agent frameworks, protocols, and development\ntools that can improve documentation workflows or make technical knowledge more\naccessible and useful.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, a related technical\ndiscipline, or equivalent practical experience.\n• Demonstrated software engineering experience building, integrating, and supporting\nproduction applications, services, or automation.\n• Hands-on experience developing applications using LLMs and generative AI, including AI\nagents, agentic workflows, tool/function calling, and process automation.\n• Strong programming skills in Python and/or another modern programming language,\nwith experience integrating systems through APIs, SDKs, web services, and structured\ndata.\n• Experience with modern software engineering practices, including source control,\nautomated testing, CI/CD, application observability, and production troubleshooting.\n• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate ambiguous\nbusiness needs into practical technical solutions and communicate effectively with\ntechnical and non-technical stakeholders.\nPreferred Qualifications\n• Experience building AI or automation solutions for technical documentation, developer\ncontent, content operations, knowledge management, or customer support.\n• Experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP), including developing MCP servers or\nintegrating MCP-enabled tools and resources with AI applications.\n• Experience with API documentation platforms, automated API specification generation,\nand standards such as OpenAPI.\n• Experience with documentation-as-code, structured content, content management\nsystems, or automated documentation and publishing pipelines.\n• Experience designing evaluation, governance, or human-in-the-loop approaches for LLM\napplications and agentic workflows.\n• Understanding of technical writing, information architecture, developer documentation,\nand content lifecycle practices.\n\nPay Transparency: To support pay transparency, Vantor includes salary ranges in all U.S. job postings. Starting pay for this role will fall within the listed range and will be based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, location, and market conditions. Candidates who meet the minimum requirements for the role should not expect to receive compensation at the top of the range.
