You will be a technical anchor in our AI and Automation practice. You’ll apply foundational AI skills to build and deploy data-driven solutions. Under mentorship from senior AI leaders, you’ll drive agentic AI development lifecycles and collaborate across engineering, data, and stakeholder teams to deliver high-impact, cloud-native AI capabilities that advance federal missions.\n\nResponsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below\n\nGenerative AI & LLM Usage\nContribute to projects using generative AI and LLMs, helping to prototype, customize, and refine AI powered capabilities.\nAgentic AI System Development\nSupport end-to-end AI development: model selection, agent creation, tool calling, response synthesis, and ambient background agents.\nAI Software Engineer\nMaintain strong software engineering principles while leveraging the latest advancements in AI code generation to accelerate your workflows.\nCollaborative Engineering\nWork alongside data engineers, software engineers, and data scientists to develop operational agent AI systems.\nCloud Enablement\nHelp automate model deployment workflows using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and container orchestration tools.\nProduction Monitoring & Optimization\nMonitor AI systems post-deployment, perform performance tuning, and apply best practices for reliability and scalability.\nTechnical Rigor & Documentation\nWrite clean, well-documented code following industry and federal guidelines; support reproducible development.\nProfessional Growth\nStay current on AI/ML trends and tools and actively learn from senior team members through mentorship and technical design reviews.\n\nRequirements\n\nWhat You Bring\n\nBachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, AI/ML, or a related field.\n1–5 years of hands-on experience delivering AI/ML solutions.\nExperience in generative AI, working with LLMs, and adding tool calls (MCP)\nExperience with agentic frameworks such as Agent2Agent Protocol, Mastra, Strands, AgentCore, and/or Gemini Agent Platform.\nDeep understanding of AI APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Bedrock\nTypescript proficiency and familiarity with key libraries and frameworks (Nx, NextJS, Mastra, Vercel AI SDK, Playwright, Jest, Vite)\nPython proficiency and familiarity with libraries and frameworks (uv, Pydantic, FastAPI, CrewAI, LangChain, LangGraph, Unstructured).\nExperience deploying applications using cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and container tools (Docker, Kubernetes).\nFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI)\nExperience with AI coding tools (Claude Code, Codex, Antigravity).\nStrong communication skills and client-oriented mindset.\nU.S. Citizenship with eligibility for DoD Secret clearance.\n\nPreferred\n\nCurious and experimental about the latest innovations in AI with an orientation toward the relentless pursuit of delivering mission impact.\nExposure to adjacent skillsets such as data engineering, data science, UI/UX, cloud engineering, and platform engineering to understand the entire software ecosystem.\nExperience with IaC tools such as Terraform, Open Tofu, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation to deploy cloud native applications.\nKnowledge of federal cybersecurity, RMF, FedRAMP, or regulatory frameworks.\n\nWhy This Role Matters\n\nReal-World Impact — Your work will support defense and health agencies where AI solutions directly contribute to national security and public well-being.\nGrowth-Oriented Environment — Learn from technical leaders, innovate within Agentic AI, and mentor those around you in AI best practices.\nCulture of Empowerment — You’ll be part of a team that values innovation, trust, collaboration, and mission success.\n\nSalary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 annually.
