The Agentic Engineer designs, develops, tests, and maintains AI-enabled software solutions, intelligent automation, agentic workflows, and cloud-native applications supporting ClassLink’s products. Working across Product and Engineering teams, this role delivers secure, scalable, high-quality solutions while contributing to engineering standards, reusable components, technical documentation, and peer mentoring. Success requires strong software and AI engineering expertise, analytical problem-solving, collaboration, adaptability, and a continuous improvement mindset.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nAI-Enabled Engineering & Technical Excellence\n\nDesign, develop, and optimize AI-enabled applications, intelligent automation, and agentic workflows that deliver customer value.\nApply AI-assisted engineering practices, prompt engineering techniques, and modern software development methodologies to improve engineering effectiveness.\nEnsure solutions comply with established standards for AI governance, security, testing, and software quality.\n\nAccountability & Results\n\nOwn technical implementation for features and services from design through deployment.\nDesign scalable integrations between AI systems, enterprise platforms, APIs, and cloud-native services.\nResolve technical issues related to performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.\n\nOperational Excellence & Continuous Improvement\n\nImprove engineering efficiency through automation, workflow optimization, testing improvements, and AI-enabled development practices.\nContribute to technical documentation, reusable components, and engineering standards.\nStay current with emerging AI technologies and recommend improvements that benefit the engineering organization.\n\nCollaboration & Communication\n\nCollaborate with Product Management, Architecture, Infrastructure, QA, and DevEx to deliver successful product outcomes.\nParticipate in technical design discussions, code reviews, and engineering working groups.\nShare technical knowledge and contribute to a collaborative engineering culture through code reviews, design discussions, and peer support.\n\nThis role is remote with quarterly in-person strategy meetings.\n\nNOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
