Think Oura Ring for your Mind.\n\nBacked by Lightspeed and South Park Commons, recognized at CES within 90 days of founding, and launching in the U.S. this fall. Co-founders bring backgrounds from Meta Reality Labs (Quest, Ray-Ban glasses) and fashion industry.\n\nTHE ROLE\nYou design interfaces for the Nirva companion app and ship them yourself, building with Claude Code as your default. No handoff, no spec-to-eng relay. You'll work directly with: The founding research and product team, to shape what we build and why. The engineering team, as a peer in the iOS codebase. You write, review, and merge production code. The marketing team, to bring the product's story to life across launch and brand surfaces.\n\nWHAT YOU'LL OWN\nShipping to production. You own the view layer end to end, from interaction design to reviewed, merged SwiftUI in the App Store build. Engineering owns architecture, data, and device. Your work is done when it's live, not when it's in Figma.\n\nThe design system. Build and maintain the SwiftUI component library and the tokens behind it: color, type, spacing, motion, haptics, dark mode, Dynamic Type, accessibility. It's also what makes agent-written UI look like Nirva. You'll own the CLAUDE.md, the component conventions, and the constraints that let anyone on the team generate a screen that's already on-brand.\n\nGenerative UI. Nirva's interface is driven by model output. Streaming text, structured responses composing views, typing indicators, uncertainty and error states, and a conversation surface that feels like texting a real person rather than querying a bot.\n\nUI/UX execution alongside the Founding Designer. Flows, interaction, and visual design, from wireframe to production.\n\nFeedback loops. Put real builds in front of users and the team early, and fold what you learn into the next ship.\n\nWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR\n2 to 4 years building product interfaces. Flexible: what you've shipped matters more than where you've worked.\n\nYou ship your own code. You're comfortable in a production SwiftUI codebase with existing conventions, code review, and a release cycle. Not \"I can read code,\" but \"my PRs go out in the build.\"\n\nClaude Code is how you build. You work agent-first: you set up repos so agents can work in them, you write the context and constraints that make output good, and you know where the agent stops being useful and you take over by hand. Cursor, v0, Figma AI in the mix is fine, but Claude Code is the center of gravity here.\n\nDesign system experience. You've built or meaningfully extended a system other people used, and you know the difference between a component library and a set of styled screens.\n\nGenerative UI instinct. You've built something where a model drove the interface, and you have opinions about what that should feel like.\n\nConsumer mobile sensibility. You care about what a single spring animation does to how an app feels.\n\nHands-on and self-motivated. Full ownership, little process.\n\nBased in SF and in person with the team.\n\nCOMPENSATION\nTop-tier health, dental, and vision insurance.\nUnlimited PTO.\nMeal coverage.\n\n#J-18808-Ljbffr","company":"Nirva","rawCompany":"nirva","city":"Millbrae","state":"CA","isRemote":false,"isActive":true,"createdAt":"2026-08-23T03:12:07.094Z","occupations":[{"code":"15-1252.00","title":"Software Developers","slug":"software-developers"},{"code":"17-2199.00","title":"Engineers, All Other","slug":"engineers-all-other"},{"code":"15-1255.00","title":"Web and Digital Interface Designers","slug":"web-and-digital-interface-designers"}],"industries":[{"code":"513210","title":"Software Publishers","slug":"software-publishers"},{"code":"541511","title":"Custom Computer Programming Services","slug":"custom-computer-programming-services"},{"code":"541512","title":"Computer Systems Design Services","slug":"computer-systems-design-services"}],"jobPosting":{"@context":"https://schema.org","@type":"JobPosting","title":"Design Engineer","description":"Nirva is building the first AI fashion accessory for your mind — a necklace or bracelet that privately listens only to the wearer to enable proactive journaling, emotion tracking, and life coaching.
