{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"f4986fef480ffe35d9f66e2e","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/f4986fef480ffe35d9f66e2e","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/f4986fef480ffe35d9f66e2e","title":"DSP Algorithms Engineer","description":"Chipton-Ross is seeking 2 DSP Algorithms Engineers (Level 4) for a contract opportunity in El Segundo, CA.\nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.\nExperience in Digital signal processing (DSP) / Digital Communications algorithms and techniques (equalization, turbo/viterbi coding/decoding, channel estimation, filter design, resampling theory, etc.).\n3+ years of experience with Matlab or Simulink.\n5+ years of experience in core digital communications and signal processing theory\n3+ years of experience in systems engineering (requirements definition, allocation, verification, architecture design and trade design).\n1+ years of experience working with FPGAs or ASICs.\nPOSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: As a DSP Algorithms Engineer, you will design and develop state-of-the-art, space-based communication systems for commercial, civil and/or national security programs. You will actively drive a highly-motivated team that works with domestic or international customers on their latest satellite systems. Duties may include (but are not limited to):\nDesigning and developing next generation RF and digital satellite communication systems\nDeveloping and verifying multi-rate, fixed-point signal processing algorithms\nConducting performance analysis of signal processing models\nPerforming waveform development and characterization\nPerforming trade studies\nSupporting integration and test of our payloads and spacecraft from unit level through in-orbit operations\nSupporting HDL-level design and verification\nPerforming detailed system design and verification activities\nLeading teams\nLeading IR&D activities\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): Experience with lab equipment (oscilloscope, waveform generator, spectrum analyzer).\nExperience leading teams of engineers.\n9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.\nREQUIRED EDUCATION: Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience).
