MRI Technologist - Mount Washington, Kentucky
Exciting opportunity for an experienced MRI Technologist to provide high-quality imaging services in a fast-paced acute care setting. This contract MRI travel position is located in Mount Washington, KY, with a unique schedule and patient population, perfect for those seeking a challenging role that supports critical neuro and athletic patient care.Position Details: Work Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 9 PM - 7:30 AM Patient Load: Approximately 40 patients daily, with 6-7 scans per technologist per shift Contract Type: Travel Key Responsibilities: Perform MRI exams primarily on neuro patients, including spine, stroke, and head trauma cases Support student athletes with diagnostic imaging needs Utilize Siemens Sola and Verio MRI scanners, with electronic medical records documented in Cerner Deliver excellent patient care with a positive attitude in an acute inpatient environment Collaborate with radiologists available 24/7 and fellow MRI technologists; some shifts may require solo operation Follow department protocols including wearing ceil blue scrubs and adhering to badge access parking rules Qualifications and Experience: Minimum 1 year acute MRI experience required Certification: ARRT (MR) or AMRIT and current BLS certification KY state MRI license required unless grandfathered Experience working with neurological patients and acute inpatient care Excellent communication skills and patient-focused mindset Experience with Cerner EMR preferred Additional Details: No floating responsibilities; orientation lasts approximately 2 weeks in department Weekend and holiday work may be required based on unit needs; no on-call duties Locals within 50 miles of Louisville are not eligible to apply About the Location: Mount Washington, KY offers a welcoming community environment with easy access to larger metropolitan areas.
