{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"f471d2c8c71ccd7a45280f72","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/f471d2c8c71ccd7a45280f72","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/f471d2c8c71ccd7a45280f72","title":"Supervisor - EVS","description":"Responsibilities\n\nProduces and maintains an exceptional work environment.\n\nEnsures that Bally ’ s Dover employees are informed of pertinent information including property/departmental goals and objectives.\n\nEstablishes and maintains close working relationships with all departments ensuring maximum cooperation, productivity, morale and guest service.\n\nMakes suggestions for improvements in overall operations with emphasis on increasing guest satisfaction, revenues as well as reducing costs.\n\nDisplays fair treatment with respect to disciplinary action producing documentation as necessary.\n\nResolves guest and Bally ’ s Dover employee issues/disputes.\n\nMentors line staff assisting in their professional development and growth.\n\nProduces performance appraisals for direct reporting employees.\n\nMonitors labor resources to ensure maximum effectiveness in guest service while realizing full profit potential.\n\nInspects public areas (casino, public restrooms, front drive, pool area, elevators, etc.) ensuring all is cleaned and well maintained.\n\nEnsures that storage closets are properly stocked with supplies.\n\nGenerates purchase orders as needed.\n\nConducts required number of written inspections.\n\nEnsures that staff is producing Maintenance Requests.\n\nEnsures that Daily Cleaning Projects are properly executed.\n\nIssues and collects master keys.\n\nEvaluates employee performance routinely, delivering positive and negative feedback in a timely and effective fashion.\n\nAdheres to department and property policies and procedures.\n\nResolves guest and employee issues.\n\nEnsures that company assets/equipment/inventories are protected.\n\nSupervises Environmental Services employees.\n\nInterviews, selects, hires, and retains superior employees.\n\nConducts formal and informal training for subordinates.\n\nConducts formal and informal coaching and counseling with subordinates.\n\nRewards and recognizes superior performers.\n\nEnsures that employees work safely and follow all safety rules to minimize work related injuries.\n\nEnsures compliance with relevant laws and regulations as well as company policies and procedures.\n\nMaintains up-to-date knowledge of industry and competition.\n\nEnsures effective communication within the department and company.\n\nHolds subordinates accountable for established performance expectations.\n\nMotivates and develops staff; provides advice and guidance as appropriate.\n\nComplies with and enforces compliance with the company ’ s recycling program standards.\n\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\n\nWork Environment\n\nMust be available to work weekends, holidays, and nights as scheduled\n\nAdditional Benefits\n\nEnjoy 30 consecutive days of free rides for new hires with DART and earn reimbursements via Delaware Commute Solutions\n\nStarting Compensation\n\n$20.00/hr\n\nPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
