Associate Attorney

Job DescriptionAn established mid-size litigation firm located in the Denver Tech Center is seeking an Associate Litigation AttorneyThis role is ideal for an attorney with strong, hands-on litigation experience who is comfortable managing cases from inception through resolution. While experience in insurance-related litigation (e.g., coverage disputes, personal injury, premises liability, construction defect, or bad faith claims) is a plus, it is not required .The ideal candidate will have experience handling core litigation responsibilities, including taking and defending depositions, drafting dispositive motions, managing discovery, and appearing in court. Candidates will have the opportunity to take ownership of their matters and handle all aspects of litigation, from pre-suit analysis and client counseling through trial and appeal.Duties/ResponsibilitiesManage all phases of litigation from case inception through resolutionConduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documentsTake and defend depositionsDraft and argue dispositive motionsAttend hearings in state and federal courtsHandle written discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requestsCollaborate with clients, experts, and colleagues to develop case strategyProvide case analysis, risk assessments, and recommendations to clients Required Skills/QualificationsEducation: Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law schoolExperience: 2-10 years of broad litigation experience in any practice area , excluding family law and criminal-only backgroundsDemonstrated experience handling core litigation tasks (e.g., depositions, motion practice, court appearances)Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skillsAbility to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environmentSelf-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a teamStrong attention to detail and sound professional judgmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skills Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)Experience with insurance-related litigation (coverage disputes, personal injury, premises liability, construction defect, or bad faith claims)Experience drafting coverage opinions or conducting examinations under oath Licensure & Additional RequirementsActive license to practice law in Colorado (or ability to obtain)Comfortable using legal technology and case management systemsProfessional, collaborative, and client-focused demeanorCreative, solutions-oriented mindset with a positive attitude
