These Registered Nurses (RN) play an important role in our hospital by providing comprehensive care to patients who are recovering from surgery, managing acute and chronic illnesses, or undergoing diagnostic procedures. Med-surg nurses are considered the backbone of hospital nursing due to the variety and volume of patients they manage..ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):C onduct thorough initial assessments and ongoing evaluations of patients' physical, emotional, and mental healthM onitor vital signs, intake/output, and other clinical indicators to detect changes in patient conditionsR ecognize and act on warning signs of deterioration, such as changes in heart rate, respiratory rate, or mental statusS afely administer prescribed medications (oral, IV, subcutaneous, intramuscular) and monitor for adverse effects or allergic reactionsA ct as a liaison between patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure the patient's needs are metP rovide patient education on their condition, treatment options, and lifestyle adjustments to support recovery and prevent readmission.C ommunicate effectively with doctors, specialists, physical therapists, and social workers to develop and adjust care plansQualificationsEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAININGMust have current and valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State.BCLS upon hire and maintain current.Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.ACLS within 30 days of hire and maintained current.#LI-DV1Employment StatusFull TimeShiftDaysEqual Employment OpportunityCompany is an equal employment opportunity employer.
