Our maintenance program is customer-focused and equipment availability driven.\nJob Overview:\nThe essential role of chassis repair technicians to maintain, and repair trailers used for national and international shipping distribution. A chassis repair technician performs preventative and corrective maintenance when equipment is out of service or when stationary in the distribution yard.\nJob Responsibilities and accountability:\n· Troubleshoot and repair all chassis/trailer defects.\n· Including ABS systems; air brake system, wheels end, and structural assemblies\n· Some welding and fabrication of chassis and shipping containers.\n· Use of mobile app to log work orders and document repairs.\nJob Requirements:\n· Mechanical background.\n· Valid Driver’s License.\n· Must be able to pass a substance screening\n· Ability to work outside in all types of weather\n· Capable of working at heights of 50 to 150 feet\n· Must be willing to work all shifts as required\n· Capable of lifting 50lbs with or without assistance\n· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.\n· Must have basic computer skills and comfortable working on a computer.\nWhy Work for P&B Intermodal?\nAs one of the fastest-growing national container and chassis repair companies in the United States, P&B Intermodal provides world-class maintenance to all the major railroads in the United States.
