operate, monitor, adjust, and maintain thermoforming packaging equipment within a fast-paced food-production facility.\n\nThe operator will be responsible for setting up the machine, completing product changeovers, monitoring package quality, making routine adjustments, troubleshooting minor equipment problems, and ensuring production goals are achieved safely and efficiently.\n\nCandidates with experience operating Tiromat, Multivac, or similar thermoforming and food-packaging equipment are strongly preferred.\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\n\n* Set up and operate Tiromat thermoforming and packaging equipment.\n* Start, stop, monitor, and adjust the machine throughout the production process.\n* Prepare equipment for different products, package sizes, and production runs.\n* Complete machine changeovers, including changing film, tooling, dies, molds, and other components.\n* Load packaging film and verify that materials are installed and feeding correctly.\n* Adjust machine settings, temperatures, timing, vacuum levels, sealing pressure, and other operating parameters.\n* Monitor package seals, appearance, weight, labels, dates, and overall product quality.\n* Inspect finished products for damaged packaging, improper seals, contamination, incorrect labels, or other defects.\n* Verify that products meet established weight, quality, and food-safety standards.\n* Make routine machine adjustments to maintain production speed, reduce waste, and minimize downtime.\n* Identify and troubleshoot minor mechanical, packaging, or equipment problems.\n* Notify maintenance personnel or supervisors of electrical, mechanical, or operational problems requiring additional repair.\n* Assist maintenance employees with troubleshooting and equipment repairs when directed.\n* Perform routine cleaning, sanitation, and basic preventive maintenance on the Tiromat and surrounding equipment.\n* Follow established procedures during machine jams, film breaks, misfeeds, and other interruptions.\n* Accurately document production quantities, downtime, waste, quality checks, and equipment concerns.\n* Maintain an organized supply of film, labels, packaging materials, and machine components.\n* Follow production schedules, work instructions, standard operating procedures, and supervisor directions.\n* Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized work area.\n* Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP procedures, food-safety requirements, and OSHA regulations.\n* Comply with lockout/tagout procedures and all machine-guarding requirements.\n* Perform additional production and packaging duties as assigned.\n\n*Required Qualifications*\n\n* Previous machine-operating experience in manufacturing, production, or packaging.\n* Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic machine problems.\n* Ability to perform machine setups, routine adjustments, and product changeovers.\n* Ability to read and follow production instructions, formulas, work orders, and standard operating procedures.\n* Basic math skills and the ability to understand weights, measurements, production counts, and percentages.\n* Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.\n* Ability to maintain accurate production, quality, waste, and downtime records.\n* Ability to work safely around moving machinery, wet
