We are an inquisitive group, analyzing component failures to determine root cause and prevent future failures for our customers and manufacturing team. We troubleshoot component failures using a variety of methods, ranging from functional testing in our electronics laboratory, to destructive testing in our failure analysis laboratory. If you are a natural problem solver and have a solid electronics background, we would love to have you help us find the root cause of every defect!\r\nAs an Electronics Technician, a typical day might include the following:\r\n\r\n\r\nTroubleshooting and characterizing electrical and mechanical components based on data sheets and drawing specifications.\r\n\r\n\r\nDeveloping test methods and techniques for material evaluation under the guidance of an experienced technician or engineer. Training quality specialists as required.\r\n\r\n\r\nOperating measurement equipment such as curve tracers, oscilloscopes, and digital multi-meters.\r\n\r\n\r\nPreparing, conducting, and documenting reliability testing, under the guidance of an experienced technician or engineer.\r\n\r\n\r\nUsing x-ray system, scanning electron microscope, XRF instrumentation, and optical microscopes in support of component troubleshooting.\r\n\r\n\r\nAssisting engineers.\r\n\r\n\r\nThis job might be for you if\r\n\r\n\r\nYou have a two-year associate degree in electronics technology or related field.\r\n\r\n\r\nYou have a working knowledge of analog and digital electronics and electronic circuits.\r\n\r\n\r\nYou have a working knowledge of mechanical drawings, data sheets, specifications, and materials.\r\n\r\n\r\nYou are familiar with modern test equipment.\r\n\r\n\r\nYou have excellent problem-solving skills.\r\n\r\n\r\nYou have strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills\r\n\r\n\r\nPreferred Qualifications\r\n\r\n\r\n1+ year of experience in electronics, materials quality, manufacturing, or failure analysis\r\n\r\n\r\nFamiliarity with programing languages (C, C++, python, etc.)\r\n\r\n\r\nExperience with computer equipment and operating systems\r\n\r\n\r\nWorking knowledge of electronic failure analysis\r\n\r\n\r\nWorking knowledge of reliability testing methods\r\n\r\n\r\nWorking knowledge of sheet metal, printed wiring boards, adhesives, and plastic components\r\n\r\n\r\nASQ Quality Technician certification\r\n\r\n\r\nLocation\r\nPullman, WA- This position is located in Pullman, WA. Our salary ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location.
