Electrical Superintendent I- WindSUMMARY Mortenson is currently seeking an experiencedElectrical Superintendent Ito provide coordination, planning, and supervision to Assistant Electrical Superintendents, contractors, and craft activities in a specific area of discipline. Positive attitude and behavior are necessary as you will interact with staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment. Demonstrating flexibility, resourcefulness, dedication, and efficiency with a high level of integrity and confidentiality will be critical for success.VISA Sponsorships are not offered for this position.MUST be willing to travel 100% - work M-Saturday for 3 weeks, home for 1 week, back to project (rotations until project completed).This is not a remote or hybrid positionMUST have experience overseeing electrical scope schedule and have technical skillsWill be able to assist in temporary power (i.e. generator set ups, disconnects, etc...)Understand LOTOHave live utility scale above and below ground experience.Oversee Tower Wiring and Collection sub contractor experience.RESPONSIBILITIES Coordinate work projects within the electrical scope, ensuring high-quality installation of electrical portions, including underground cabling, overhead lines, and substation constructionSupervise the installation of the collection system and manage the connection of the power grid to the existing distribution systemProvide drawing, constructability, submittal reviews, and feedback with the engineering team, verifying quality of materials, equipment, and workmanshipPartner with the Sr. Superintendent in formwork selection, equipment sizing, site utilization plan, and development of project schedules and updates, including three-week look-aheadEnsure work teams have necessary resources and support, and supervise quality control of work team, including self-performed and subcontracted workMonitor and review trade partner work plans and activities for safety concerns, ensuring implementation, practice, and enforcement of the company’s Zero Injury ProgramParticipate in project meetings, providing liaison between field engineers and contractors or craft workers to ensure electrical components comply with drawings and specificationsOversee documentation, tracking, and analysis of all Safety, Injury, and Hazard statistics, trend analyses, and OSHA reports, and assist with major incident analysisCoach, mentor, and train field personnel, forepersons, and assistant superintendents, providing work direction, performance evaluations, and development opportunitiesMaintain relationships with all visitors to the site, including customers, architects, union representatives, subcontractors, etc., and handle open shop and union issuesQUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experienceMinimum 10 years’ experience working with high and medium voltage equipment and cable, installation of collection lines and substation construction.Minimum 13 years supervisory experienceProficiency in the installation, testing, acceptance, maintenance, and repair of high and medium voltage cablesKnowledgeable about current injection, Hi-pot, capacitance discharge, contact resistance, Megger, TTR, Doble, and other methods of cable and equipment testingPossess working knowledge of electrical drawings, sketches, and prints, underground duct banks, trenching, manholes and vaults for distribution and collection systems, underground and pad mount transformer usage, SCADA systems used in the power industry, transmission line construction, testing and commissioning, and substation construction, testing and commissioningCurrent driver’s license100% TravelA few benefits offered include: (for Non-Craft & Non-Union Craft working 25+ hours / week) Medical and prescription drug plans that includes no additional cost vision coverageDental plan401k retirement plan with a generous Mortenson matchPaid time off, holidays, and other paid leavesEmployer paid Life, AD&D, and disability insuranceNo-Cost mental health tool and concierge with extensive work-life resourcesTuition reimbursementAdoption AssistanceGym Membership Discount Program**The base pay range for this role is $125,600 - $188,400.(Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.This position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.#LI-GB1 #LI-onsitePlease make note: **Visa sponsorship is not offered for this position.**Our postings are typically open a minimum of 5 days and an average of 44 days.ABOUT MORTENSON As a top builder, developer, and EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction), our expertise spans markets like sports, renewable energy, data centers, healthcare, and more.
