This position is responsible for coordinating maintenance discrepancies and corrections on all operational aircraft, as well as monitoring all line station mechanical problems. The successful candidate will hold a current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant Certification, possess an understanding of aircraft computer maintenance record keeping systems and have at least one year of experience as a certified mechanic. This position reports to the Manager, Aircraft Maintenance Control.\r\nEssential Duties\r\nCoordinate maintenance discrepancies and corrections on all operational aircraft\r\nMonitor all line station mechanical problems\r\nReduce and hold maintenance recovery time to a minimum\r\nMonitor aircraft availability\r\nCoordinate equipment changes with Maintenance and Dispatch\r\nProvide technical assistance to all Maintenance personnel\r\nExecute the Minimum Equipment List/Configuration Deviation List (MEL/CDL) program\r\nCoordinate parts and staffing requirements for mechanical interruptions, engine changes, and field repairs\r\nMonitor field repairs and coordinate return of work crews to their home base\r\nCoordinate with Dispatch and Maintenance Planning for MEL/CDL procedures as outlined in Company manuals\r\nArrange charter aircraft for dispatching parts and/or maintenance technicians to outstations\r\nNotify Inspection department of reportable incidents involving any Company operated aircraft\r\nCoordinate checking of engine oil quantities and record results\r\nJob Qualifications and Competencies\r\nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite\r\nPossession of FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification and company-issued licenses\r\nOne (1) year experience as a certified mechanic\r\nPossess good communication skills\r\nGood working knowledge of the aircraft system and the flight operation\r\nKnowledge of the appropriate parts of the Maintenance Policies and Procedures Manual, including applicable provisions of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFRs)\r\nDemonstration of a positive attitude toward productivity, quality, and safety\r\nPossess an understanding of aircraft computer maintenance record keeping systems\r\nPreferred Qualifications\r\nExperience in the maintenance of aircraft of the type operated by the Company\r\nWork Environment\r\nStandard office environment, use of computers and other office equipment\r\nAvailable to work any shift including nights, weekends and holidays\r\nAirport ramp and warehouse environment, subject to varied weather conditions and elevated noise levels\r\nPhysical Requirements\r\nFrequent stooping, bending, kneeling, walking, standing, reaching, lifting, climbing up and down stairs\r\nHandle objects up to 70 pounds regularly, up to 100+ pounds occasionally with assistance from co-workers or tools\r\nThe above statements provide a brief description of the general nature of work performed and not intended to be a complete list of responsibilities, duties and skills required for this position.
