This is a full-time, exempt, hybrid position based in Minnesota.\r\nRole and Responsibilities\r\nAs a Helpdesk Coordinator, you will often be the first person someone turns to when they don't know where else to go. You will help people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), their families, and supporters navigate complex systems, understand their options, and connect with resources that promote self-determination and meaningful community inclusion.\r\nNo two days look exactly the same. You may begin the morning covering the Helpdesk, answering calls, emails, or online requests from people looking for guidance on disability services, housing, education, employment, public benefits, or community resources. Throughout the day, you will listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, provide coaching and referrals, document interactions, collaborate with colleagues, create plain-language resources, help deliver trainings, attend community events, and identify opportunities to improve services based on community feedback.\r\nProvide person-centered advocacy, coaching, referrals, and systems navigation\r\nCover assigned Helpdesk shifts and assist with additional coverage as needed\r\nCollaborate with the Advocacy and Community Engagement (ACE) team and other Arc Minnesota programs\r\nDevelop and deliver trainings, workshops, and accessible resources\r\nRepresent The Arc Minnesota at outreach events and resource fairs\r\nMaintain accurate documentation, reports, and work plans\r\nStay current on disability policies, community resources, and best practices\r\nCompensation and Benefits\r\nStarting Annual Salary of $51,000\r\nComprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance\r\nEmployer-paid life and disability insurance\r\n401(k) retirement plan with employer contributions\r\nGenerous time off, including sick time, vacation and floating holidays, for both full-time and part-time team members\r\nFlexible schedules that support life outside of work\r\nProfessional development opportunities\r\nThe opportunity to make a difference in your community and in the lives of Minnesotans with intellectual and developmental disabilities\r\nRequired Qualifications & Skills\r\n1+ years of experience in advocacy, disability services, community engagement, customer service, or a related field\r\nExceptional customer service skills with the ability to remain calm, patient, and solution-focused during complex or emotionally challenging conversations\r\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex systems and resources in plain language\r\nDemonstrated cultural humility and the ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds, lived experiences, and communication styles, including using interpreters or accessibility accommodations when appropriate\r\nActive listening skills and the ability to provide person-centered guidance that empowers informed decision-making\r\nStrong organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills\r\nAbility to work independently while collaborating across teams\r\nMicrosoft Office proficiency\r\nReliable transportation for local travel\r\nPreferred Qualifications & Skills\r\nSalesforce experience\r\nPosting Disclaimer\r\nThe above is intended to describe the general content of and requirement for the performance of this position.
