Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Speech Language Pathologist, based in various Volusia County, FL locations. The professional will assess and treat students with communication, speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Duties include evaluating individual student needs, developing and implementing therapy plans, collaborating with educational staff, providing consultation to teachers and families, and maintaining accurate records. The Speech Language Pathologist will play a crucial role in supporting students' ability to access their education through effective communication and intervention strategies. Qualifications Proficiency in Speech Therapy and supporting students with speech-related challengesExpertise in diagnosing and managing Communication and Language DisordersExperience working with Dysphagia and speech concerns as related to swallowingStrong understanding of treating and supporting a range of Communication and Speech DisabilitiesMaster’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related fieldCurrent and valid licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (or eligibility to obtain licensure) in the state of FloridaExcellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills with a commitment to collaborationExperience working in K-12 settings or with children in an educational environment is a plusAbility to adhere to evidence-based practice and maintain confidentiality policies
