{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"f3e7595f586de07ecbe64c74","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/f3e7595f586de07ecbe64c74","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/f3e7595f586de07ecbe64c74","title":"Sr. Systems Engineer - System Integration (Mass)","description":"Lockheed Martin Space is looking for a highly motivated Systems Engineer to join the System Analysis Team.\n\nResponsibilities\n• Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.\n• Focus on Mass Properties Analyses and Integration, assessing systematic mass reduction opportunities and ensuring accurate mass, center of gravity (CG), moment of inertia (MOI), and related data throughout the product lifecycle.\n• Conduct system‑level analyses at all stages of the product life cycle: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.\n• Convert customer or product requirements into total system solutions that balance technical, schedule, and cost constraints.\n\nBasic Qualifications\n\n3+ years of related experience in Systems Integration functions\n\nBachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education\n\nExperience with Systems Integration, Test and/or Verification\n\nTest planning and execution with an understanding of all interdependencies\n\nDesired Skills\n\nMass properties calculations (Weight, Center of Gravity, Moment of Inertia)\n\nKnowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and solid modeling applications (IDEAS, CREO, or SolidWorks)\n\nProgramming experience with MATLAB, Mathcad, VBA, or Python\n\nContribution to weight control and reduction efforts\n\nSupport for weight reduction applications, writing mass properties procedures, practices, and/or specifications\n\nCollaboration with integrated product teams, engineering fields, technicians, subcontractors, and customers\n\nFamiliarity with production environment, crane operations, manufacturing and assembly techniques & processes\n\nPrior spacecraft or aircraft testing experience preferred\n\nData reduction and simple error analysis\n\nSystems thinking skills and behaviors\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build solid relationships with team members\n\nSecurity Clearance Statement : This position requires a government security clearance. Applicants must be U.S. citizens.\n\nClearance Level : Public Trust\n\nCompensation & Benefits\nPay Rate : Annual base salary range (California, Massachusetts, New York, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington, or Washington DC): $89,300 – $157,550.
