This role collaborates with development and cloud infrastructure teams to ensure solutions align with business requirements, cloud architectures, system architectures, and industry standards. The Architect leads technical analysis of complex systems, driving cloud innovation and modernization across the enterprise.\nEssential Functions:\nLead the design and analysis for cohesive, cloud focused, solution architectures\nDevelop comprehensive plans to migrate on-prem applications to the cloud using cloud-native technologies\nEvaluate new cloud technologies and recommend adoption strategies that align with strategic goals\nOversee technical design of complex cloud systems, ensuring they are safe, scalable, and industry compliant\nDevelop and document system architectures focusing on containerization, cloud-native technologies, and microservices\nCreate strategies for optimizing cloud resource utilization and cost management\nDevelop and enforce architecture standards and best practices\nDocument all solution architecture work, focusing on system integrations\nCreate detailed technical specifications, including data models, API designs, integration points, and security protocols\nSupport critical development phases, including code reviews and troubleshooting\nDesign and implement cloud native proof-of-concepts (POCs) to evaluate new technologies\nLead integration of third-party services and tools\nLead design and implementation of cloud and hybrid security architectures\nTranslate business requirements into technical solutions\nFacilitate technical discussions and workshops\nAct as a consultant on a range of technologies and platforms\nBuild technology roadmaps for best-in-class services\nArchitect and implement solutions using cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)\nEnsure cloud solutions comply with security, regulatory, and organizational policies\nIdentify and address technical debt within existing systems\nCollaborate with the infrastructure team for on-premises and cloud-based needs\nPerform any other job duties as requested\nEducation and Experience:\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required\nMinimum of ten (10) years of experience in IT including seven (7) years of direct experience in developing and implementing technically diverse application and infrastructure architectures for companies\nMinimum of three (3) years of HealthCare Payer IT experience required\nMinimum of five (5) years of Solutions Architecture experience preferred\nPossesses wide base of experience in many disciplines of information technology including: operating systems, capacity planning, messaging software, business intelligence, web technologies, e-business enabling technologies, storage, directory services, hardware, virtualization, IT service management, development languages, and database technologies\nCompetencies, Knowledge and Skills:\nExpertise designing and building cloud native solutions\nHighly skilled in software development and architecture, emphasizing cloud technologies, microservices, and DevOps\nProficiency in delivering presentations to senior executives and technical audiences\nStrong prioritization and task execution skills\nExpertise in designing and implementing large-scale systems\nFamiliarity with multiple programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python) and frameworks (e.g., .NET, Spring, Angular)\nUnderstanding of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and services (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform)\nKnowledge of with performance tuning, security best practices, and regulatory compliance\nAbility to lead technical assessments of vendor solutions\nSkilled in incident response and root cause analysis\nAbility to support business development during pre-sales and post-sales activities\nStrong interpersonal skills, including communication, listening, critical thinking, and presentation skills\nAbility to estimate financial impact of architectural solutions\nEffective problem-solving skills with attention to detail\nKnowledge of Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms\nKnowledge of system integration principles and best practices\nLicensure and Certification:\nAzure Solutions Architect Expert and/or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional highly preferred\nWorking Conditions:\nGeneral office environment; may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time\nCompensation Range:\n$135,600.00 - $237,400.00\nCareSource takes into consideration a combination of a candidate’s education, training, and experience as well as the position’s scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required for the role, and other external and internal data when establishing a salary level. In addition to base compensation, you may qualify for a bonus tied to company and individual performance.
