SCADA Engineer
Job SummaryWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented SCADA Engineer with 0–3 years of experience to join our growing engineering team in Florida. This full-time opportunity is ideal for recent graduates and early-career professionals looking to build expertise in Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, industrial automation, and process control technologies. The successful candidate will support the design, implementation, validation, and maintenance of SCADA systems across pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, manufacturing, and industrial facilities while ensuring system reliability, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in the design, development, configuration, and deployment of SCADA systems for industrial and regulated manufacturing environments.Support the creation and maintenance of HMI screens, alarm management systems, reporting tools, data historians, and process monitoring applications.Collaborate with Automation, Controls, Manufacturing, Validation, and Quality teams to support project execution and system integration activities.Participate in commissioning, qualification, testing, and validation of SCADA and automation systems.Troubleshoot hardware, software, communication networks, and control system issues to minimize downtime and improve system performance.Support PLC-SCADA integration and communication using industrial protocols such as Modbus, OPC, Ethernet/IP, and BACnet.Assist with system upgrades, patch management, cybersecurity initiatives, and backup/recovery processes.Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, including functional specifications, SOPs, validation protocols, and technical reports.Ensure compliance with company standards, industry regulations, and quality requirements.Support continuous improvement projects focused on automation, data integrity, and operational excellence.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.0–3 years of experience in SCADA systems, industrial automation, controls engineering, or related disciplines, including internships and co-op experience.Basic understanding of SCADA architecture, HMI development, industrial control systems, and networking concepts.Familiarity with SCADA platforms such as Ignition, Wonderware, FactoryTalk View, Siemens WinCC, VTScada, or similar systems.Understanding of PLC fundamentals and industrial communication protocols.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, life sciences, manufacturing, or industrial facilities.Exposure to Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider Electric, or other PLC platforms.Knowledge of FDA regulations, GMP environments, GxP requirements, and 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.Familiarity with industrial cybersecurity principles and best practices.Understanding of MES integration, data historians, and Industrial IoT technologies.
